Paramilitary 2 Lightweight SHOT Show 2026

Plenty of 15v knives sat and sat. The PM 2 is Spyderco’s most popular model, so it was expected that this one would sell out fast.

I believe there are still Native 5 knives in 15v available.
Yeah. Got one. It’s meh to me. Same problems I have with all lock-backs, they’re boring to play with. Good second knife, but it’s nothing like the pm2 in the ways the pm2 is great.

I’ll probably pick up a native chief, because I like bigger blades, but I have to say, I am unhappy AF. Not mad at spyderco, they’re limited by things outside their control (crucible’s demise).

But the scalping part of this “hobby” is gross. Which is why I’ll never partake, no matter how much I want to. It’s not the $, if spyderco charged $350 for it, I’d happily give Sal that $. But not someone who merely bought them all, dried up supply and then decided to sell me the same thing for double the $.

Well Spyderco could have released fewer models in 15v and instead released a ton more PM2 lw models. I mean, it’s literally their best selling series. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also, the PM3 sat around for weeks when it dropped. That one is a fidget friendly as the PM2.

I have an xl in k390. I like it a lot.

Also have multiple enduras, k390, super gold, vg10

Manix in bd1 (this knife is where I learned to hate bd1.)

I have a love, a deep love, of steel like k390. Takes an aggressive edge and holds it forever. More work to sharpen, but worth getting right because it lasts.

The real draw is that the pm2 is the knife I’ve loved the longest, and for it to come in a high hardness steel like 15v that also loves to hold aggressive edges, and be frn…ya. But honestly, I’d be just as happy with k390 in the same knife.

A PM2 in K390 is on my list too, hopefully they make one sooner than later.
It’s already been made(years ago) as an Exclusive for Bento Box Shop!! I think it’s still in stock and pretty sure you won’t see a regular production version. I’ve been wrong before though 😏

The K390 stretch is one of the best knives they’ve ever designed. I actually like the ergos more than the PM2. It’s not a fidget toy, though.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up!

*Edit to add* Ordered, PM2 seems to be the knife of the month so far. :)

I have one of those from back when they came out. Great knife.

I think many of us feel the same way, but it’s a fact of life because the herd psychology buzz that limited releases generate is attractive to manufacturers, and there are always going to be some people who take advantage and some who’ll cough up at inflated prices.

It always sucks when you miss out on a knife you really want, but over time most of us learn to be more sanguine about it because we know there’ll always be something else coming down the pike. Ultimately, the solution is to make more, and personally, I wish Spyderco didn’t have their rule about never repeating sprints. But they’re not dumb - when they know they have a winner, they’ll make more of something similar even if they can’t make the exact same thing. I am CERTAIN there will be more PM2 lwt models in cool steels. If you remember when the first crucarta model came out (was it the Shaman?), it was a feeding frenzy, but they later made more in Z-Wear, and now there are lots of crucarta Spydercos readily available.

Besides, if you subscribe to threads like this, it’s usually not that hard to pick up even the most popular models. Retailers typically get them in batches, so even if you miss out on the first day, you can usually pick one up if you pay attention.

That’s up to you.

Like ive said, I’ve made my mind up on this.

I’m willing to have them break even if it’s brand new in box never opened never touched never looked at, but I’m not going to be getting scalped.

I’ll just do without. This whole situation from start to finish has royally upset me to the point where it’s broken me of wanting to buy any knives since the 15 v situation happened. Wanted a pm2 LW because I like frn, but the way it went down, back to not buying a darn thing. Id be happy with a less limited steel than 15v, like k390 etc but all the regular versions come in is bd1n and I cannot stand that steel.
Haven’t read past this post yet, but if your handle is accurate and you’re in CO, just go to the SFO. They had some still available as of last Thursday… at the same $165.75 price as other dealers.

Also, there have been at least 3 dealers posted here in this thread that have had stock available for an hour, so it’s not like they’ve all been selling out in seconds. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sadly not anymore. I’ve moved three times to three different states since I made this account.

But I have been to the golden store when I was there, and they was one big sad day when I was no longer within a day-trip. Factory sale was fun the time I went.

When the 15v thing was announced, they had planned to make enough that limitations were unlikely to happen.

Then crucible closed.

Things got weird. Which is why I have a personal rule on this one that I’ll never buy one second hand for more than they cost new. I’m not going to reward people for their greed on this.

Wise words from both gentlemen!!

Wise words from both gentlemen!!
I want to thank you for your updates for stock.

I’ve tried at least 3x last week and was on the dealers I picked beforehand at the specified time of drop and refreshed exactly at the time they should have dropped. Got them in cart and was plugging in info and when I went to pay, OOS (took me less than 2 mins from start to finish). I didn’t dally, I didn’t dilly. If I had, I’d be mad at myself for my own indecision.

That’s where the frustration comes from. We shall see if more drop in the next few days.

In no way am I mad at yall.
