Mine is great. I guess we don’t really need another picture. Love how light it is. The FRN actually feels good. Very comfortable with the contour. Hate the wire clip and this one isn’t gonna convert me. Centering, detent, action are all perfect. Absolutely no lock stick.

C’mon…it’s blade forums…we love pictures! 😏

I’m with you on the wire clip, I always seem to “roll” the clip in the channels! Must be the way my hand puts lateral stress on it in use. I upgrade to a Lynch or Ripps depending on model.

I was late to that party and couldn't agree more. Yet another one I should carry more often. Which I find myself saying about many of them. First world problems.

Anyone worried about the wire clips should try a Lynch (or similar idea) wire clip replacement. I don't mind the wire clips but wanted to try one and wow are they nice.

I bought one for a family friend who joined the Marines, what a knife. Still have mine NIB as I’ve been using a modded ST Nick’s 4V version. Do you still have it and has the blade got a natural patina?

I still have it, but like so many other knives, (when you obviously have too many), it's been sitting on the shelf awaiting the call to duty.
 
I am annoyed beyond belief about this 15v situation.

What it’s shown me is that I’ll never buy one second hand unless it’s under the selling price new, which won’t happen, I won’t get one, but I’ll be damned if I pay a scalper to use a bot to buy 10 seconds after they go on sale and then sell it to me for 3x the price.

Not everyone that sells on the secondary market is a leech. I don't mind someone getting their money back, (including shipping, tax, and maybe a small profit), but in the end, the decision to avoid predatory sellers is up to all of us. Just say no.

You can pretty quickly determine which members contribute content to this site, and those whose only interest is to make a buck...by looking at their posting history.

Like ive said, I’ve made my mind up on this.

I’m willing to have them break even if it’s brand new in box never opened never touched never looked at, but I’m not going to be getting scalped.

I’ll just do without. This whole situation from start to finish has royally upset me to the point where it’s broken me of wanting to buy any knives since the 15 v situation happened. Wanted a pm2 LW because I like frn, but the way it went down, back to not buying a darn thing. Id be happy with a less limited steel than 15v, like k390 etc but all the regular versions come in is bd1n and I cannot stand that steel.

It probably won't help right now, but I'm sure there will be more releases with more steel options in the future. I know I want to get something serrated down the line.

I signed up for email notifications from several dealers. I don’t want one I just wanted to see if a normal person could actually get one. I got an email notification from Knives Ship Free on Thursday and they were in stock long enough to where I could have easily put one in my cart and checked out. Hope that info helps if you want something else in the future. And yes I hate flippers too.

You're responding to the wrong person. I was replying to C co556guy who was dismayed about his current inability to get one at a reasonable price.

I was simply trying to present him with an alternative view...as opposed to throwing up his hands in disgust and walking away.

(I was able to get one by monitoring this thread and logging on to Knife Center when they were reported to have stock.)

For a lot of people it seems greed and "I have what you don't" plays into the equation almost more than the actual knives. Scalpers thrive off of that mindset, the more we can do as enthusiasts to curtail those behaviors, the healthier the market will be. Here recently, I've chosen to not participate in the frenzy over the latest hotness, if one crosses my radar and it's something I like, then perhaps I'll jump at it like I did with this one. There was a limit of 2 per order and I chose to only buy one and leave one on the shelf for the next guy instead of trying to justify being greedy. Sorry that next guy wasn't you. Spyderco makes a ton of great knives, this is a new model and will absolutely be released in other steels and become a regular offering. Just give it some time. The scalpers and more greedy collectors are a pain in the butt and take some fun out of the hobby but don't let them turn you off completely.

If you like FRN have you given any of the Stretch or Stretch XL knives a try?
 
Plenty of 15v knives sat and sat. The PM 2 is Spyderco’s most popular model, so it was expected that this one would sell out fast.

I believe there are still Native 5 knives in 15v available.
 
I don’t know if “bots” are to blame. I think the reselling is sort of tasteless too, but this is probably one of the most anticipated releases they’ve ever done, and with the market on the G10 15V PM2s, all the scalpers were ready.

I appreciate your view, and I appreciate the assistance that BF members have tried with the in stock notices. I’m not mad at yall. You’re not the problem. If I lost a buy to one of you, I wouldn’t be salty.

I’m fast AF in the typing etc category. I didn’t lose out due to humans. I lost because the entire lot was bought in an inhuman time frame.

Anyone here that got one that you intend to use (or didn’t buy with the intent to flip), I’m happy for you. Truly.

But for users, this situation sucks. Crucible went away and now these (and a bunch of other decent steel) is going to become unobtainable. We’re going backwards in tech as a result. I wanted to future proof my situation, as we don’t know if anyone will even see the value in investing in what crucible could do.

I’m throwing my hands up in disgust because I’m not paying $250-300 for a pm2 used. Especially when I know what it cost new. I refuse. I’ll knap obsidian myself before I do that.

I honestly believe you'll get one if you subscribe to this thread and follow up by logging into one of the vendor sites that comes up as having stock.
I wish I had bought two so that I could send you one.
