Paramilitary question for Sal....

First, I can't wait for the Stop lock Military. Hopefully it will "perfect" the almost perfect knife.
Second, I think an orange handle is a good idea. It would make the knife easier to find, and it's more of a "tool" colour than the ninja black handles that send the masses into a panic.

I think orange handles look awesome and very "clean", in a way. Though the stop-lock millie and four-way clip is promising. I think the para millie and millie in current configuration would sell well regardless of upgrades, so simply adding orange scales would definitely sell. They are tried and true spydies, in my opinion anyway. Looking forward to the knives to come.

I have a Spyderco Jeff Horn in stainless. I liked it so much for business carry I bought two more, one my son wanted and the other for safe keeping. I also have a Native which is really a nice knife for a nice price.

The military in orange G10 would be nice but I don't understand the tip down carry. The tip up seems better for a quick out of the pocket, flick open. Hard to visualize tip down.

An orange mili or para would be great , if laid down in the bush you might even be able to find it again in that color! LOL! Count me in for one of each!
Having misplace one before in black i can only imagine how hard foliage green or digi camo would be to find!
regards,rick.

Sal,

I would like to see a thicker tip on the Mili blade.

A Desert Camo scale would be cool .

Selling the scales seperately for the Mili would be a cool idea. Slap the Orange on for hunting and something else for EDC.

If I had money to spend I would buy an orange para in the current configuration, but the sad truth is I dont have any money, and needing to save $1000 by June so I can go to Alaska with the venture crew does not help with that situation. I am getting a job soon though, so that might change.

Cool..... There is interest. I just hope I can score one if they roll out!! Save me some guys!!!:D

An orange Para. would kick ass

Keep posting boys, maybe we'll convince Sal, to make a run of Orange

Our plan is to re-design both the Military and the Paramilitary. One of the first requirements would be to convert to a 4 way clip. This is more complicated than it might appear.

We'd also like to make a Military with a "stop-lock" version, as well as the current Walker Linerlock. The Paramilitary would retain the Compression lock, which has proven to be strong and reliable, albeit a PITA to manufacture.

Once the new design is in production, we can add or alter scale materials and colors.

At least that's the plan, but Eric and I have been very busy with many projects already in-the-works, as well as the "day job" of running a business.

Is there enough interst in an Orange Military and Paramilitary in their current config without the 4 way clip? We could probably pull off a run of each.

Sal,

Thanks for continuing to make the Paramilitary as is. I didn't know it was a PITA to make the compression lock. I love the model as is but am anxious to see / test out any changes you make to the newer models.

On a side note, I would have to say I am probably one of the few that would be against orange G10. Nothing more than a personal preference. I just don't care for bright orange. I'm a dark color kind of guy. Navy Blue, Dark Brown, Black, Burgundy, Green, etc. :)

Thanks, as always, for listening though!

Merry Christmas!
