Part 3 of Emerson Q and A is up

For the love of my own sanity, can we get a thread merge? Or is it like the 12 days of Christmas?
 
As much of an Emerson fan as I am , I'm starting to get annoyed by the lack of discussion we are getting in response to three threads now.

I liked the vids--watched them in the Emerson subform. I like his knives, carry/ use them, and prefer them to other moderns. Mr. Emerson, well done sir. :thumbup:

Btw, a warrior is:
a) someone who fights in wars, in its basest definition. A fighter, is somewhat different by that distinction.
b) or... I believe a fantasy game character who is allowed to wear plate, use two handed swords, or sword and shield and slays dragons.

Don't be me wrong, I like your stuff, I have a kemerson in my pocket now, I don't deny you're a knife making icon, but I really need to know about this badged in honorary SEAL thing.

That's funny, I am starting to get annoyed over the multiple threads with the same basic OP.

I agree that a merge is in order.
Why have a multitude of threads saying "Hey, look here!" with little content difference (pardon the paraphrasing).
 
I haven't watched it, but what's the over/under on time of the first SEALs mention? I'm going to bet on four minutes. Does he mention the SEALs sooner or later than that?

Not in this one. In video 2. 10:55

I don't mind him saying he's a knife making icon, he is in my books. But integrity comes into play if he claims he's been badged in.

Are you seriously saying he never mentions the SEALs in this one? I may actually have to watch it now.

The operative word in Part 3 is the over-abused term "tactical". The icon is the "father of the modern tactical knife". He does mention SEALs along with a list of being first in many things!

EE: "I'm not in the knife makers hall of fame. Should I be. I don't know but I don't think I ever will be because I threathened to beat the hell out of a couple of the guys that were actual members and became members because of some things that they did that I felt were immoral and incorrect".

EE has excellent taste in Single Malt Scotch: Macallan 18.

He compared his simplicity and durability of his knives to some grandpa hammers. I wish Emerson knife was so durable to survive ~50 years without damage.
