Chad .. I know how you are feeling. It is a very scary time for you two. My daughter was born with the same condition minus the Degeorge Syndrome . We live in the Boston Area so we were lucky enough to be able to go to Children's Hospital. Our Dr. was Dr. John Mayer. Regardless if he performs the surgery or not there is no better place to be. The staff is wonderful.
My daughter is 16 years old now. The surgery was successful. A lot of the problems that they said might happen did not and she was expected to have another surgery at 16 which I stated above is now. She just went through all the testing and at this time she does not need the surgery.
