Pass Around Salsa Idea

Sorry about the 18 thing, but I'd hate to get someone else or myself in trouble somehow.

I'm number 5 :) :D :)
Dave I just emailed you my address, thanks.

This is right up there with the knife drawing.
I almost fell like I won something :)

Great idea dave

WAAAHHHOO!!!

We got 10, I got the box ready we I just need a few more addresses. (Dafox and Fishbulb)

If a couple more want to squeeze in let we can do that. (In honor of St. Patricks Day since the Salsa is a green one )

I'll plan to send it out Monday, and those participating will receive informational updates and or coordination from me via email. It will take a couple of months to finish this Pass Around Salsa project, so hang in there.

I'm # 10:( :D :D I get to see how it functions & performs after (most)everyone else has had a turn. OVER THE LONG HAUL :D

If the list isn't already full, I'd love to participate. I'm really interested in the Salsa, but I haven't had the chance to fondle one yet.

You'll get a full review of slicing and dicing cardboard, opening letters and whacking up paper rolls during press checks -- nothing too cool. I'm not a spec-ops, tactical nasty mall ninja or anything, but I'd be happy to post my opinions on how the Salsa handles everyday tasks. Hey, ya never know, I might be stranded somewhere and have to use it to survive for a week in the wilderness. Something terrible couldhappen. Keep your fingers crossed:rolleyes:.

If there's room for an even dozen, I'm in. It's a great idea. I'm very interested in seeing what my wife thinks of it. I still can't get her to carry a knife

If you don't get the other 2 addresses (unlikely...) count me in: I even have a US address!!!:D
Regards,
Rob

Consider yourself an alternate.

I'm still waiting for two snail mail addresses, if I don't get them by Monday, I'll email you.

Thanks,

wouldn't happen to need an alternate alternate would you?:D If so gimme a email.

I'll wait by the computer!!!
This is a great idea! Any thought of expanding it? If anyone else on the list has one they'd be willing to send around? That would give people a chance to try others, and let others try theirs...;)
Thoughts?

And yes, I could come up with one...:p

I think it would be cool for others to do it as well. I have a large Sebenza that just went in for refurb that I was thinking about selling, but if this goes well I might consider trying it with the refurbed sebbie.

Ya know I think the manfacturers could really go to town on this. Let's say they wanted to introduce a new model knife, get ahold of a pass along coordinator, and put a couple out in circulation.

How many people would give it a try and say "hey! I need one of these!"

I might consider trying it with the refurbed sebbie.
Brave man...
"Oops, how did this Chinese POS replace my Sebbie???"
Yes, I think the manufacturers would love it, it's ideal for them. Imagine the equivalent advertising cost??? You couldn't buy it. Haven't you already been offered a new one???
Boy, I'd almost be afraid to be on the Sebbie list; I've never handled one, but suspect it might spoil me (from what I've heard and read)... then what???
Oh well, I'd be willing to risk it:D ;)

What a great idea! An ex co-worker's hunting club does something similar and works out great. One item got all the way to South Africa with the manufacturer paying for freight.

It seems like a Sebenza would be ideal for this. Compared to some other knives (*asbestos suit ON*), the Sebenza (at least the aptly described plain ones) looks plain. The argument is usually that you have to use one to appreciate it, so I'd like to see what their reaction is when they get to do so. Seems a bit risky, though.

I can't wait to see the reports. Will it be a running thread or individual ones?

numberthree,

Looks like we have enough for the Salsa. It would probably be most clear if the participants put all their comments in one thread, either this one or another one.

Someone could start another Pass Around if they like. Any takers?

Maybe when someone has the knife they could take a picture of it in their area to see what part of the world it is in and put the pictures on the forum.
