Patina Contest...WIN $100 Swamp Rat Shop Credit!!!

You know, there was a time when I wouldn’t buy a stain-less knife at all. Back before the stainless super steel were even available. Or if they were, I was too poor to know. So if a knife didn’t have a blade that you actually had to take care of, I didn’t want it. Now I’ll be the first to admit that the current state of stainless super steels will (probably quite literally) cut my old carbon steel blades that I insisted on in half. And keep a working edge afterward. But dang, it was nice to see a blade start to take on a patina. And that type of blade would get SCREAMIN’ sharp.
It does this old heart good to see these patinas. And I hope to add to the photos when the MEGA Swamp Warden arrives.

lets see some more of those Swamp comp patina we need more of that eye candy for our enjoyment.

My MEGA Ratweiler, right after applying the forced patina using yellow mustard and vinegar. I need to get some updated shots...

So I have been experimenting with some forced patina techniques and I think you will like it. I know pics or it didn't happen and they will be forthcoming in the near future.
