Recently built this sheath for this Western.

Does this count? My fathers two schrade hunter he uses for fishing. Apparently it's been a while since he went fishing.

Although they have stainless steel blades the back springs are carbon steel. And has some of the blackest patina I've seen.

It ain't much to look at yet because It's only been in my pocket an hour, but it's gotta start somewhere and it can only get better from here.

I'm not a huge fan of the Northfield etch so this patina makes the blade much easier on my eyes.

Don't worry I don't actually use sweetener. Just felt like a fun backdrop.

Wow I had no idea that pocket worn look can happen so quickly on the jigged bone!

I mean it has literally been my EDC for three years now. Working in carhartts, in the dirt, in the steel filings, in the sweat. Sometimes with keys or coins or bits, my pocket is fairly abrasive. My job and lifestyle requires a lot of motion so it is always being rubbed around in there.

The past few weeks of fruit cutting have the main blade on my new Case Copperhead coming along nicely, so I decided to go ahead and put my forced design on the pen blade this morning.
