Although they have stainless steel blades the back springs are carbon steel. And has some of the blackest patina I've seen.

Wow I had no idea that pocket worn look can happen so quickly on the jigged bone!

I mean it has literally been my EDC for three years now. Working in carhartts, in the dirt, in the steel filings, in the sweat. Sometimes with keys or coins or bits, my pocket is fairly abrasive. My job and lifestyle requires a lot of motion so it is always being rubbed around in there.
