Photos Patina thread

I've been using my muskrats for kitchen duty lately, pulling them out of my pocket to cut bread, apples, kiwi fruit, strawberries, cantaloupe, etc. Really has enhanced the patina on the carbon steel ones. Not easy to capture the colors in a photo, you have to get just the right angle. This Case Muskrat was looking very good, then this afternoon I sliced a Macintosh apple, which really brought out the blues.

H Honest_Thomas Indeed it is :) Kind of got it back into service, sharpened (Limes&Lemons for drinks) oiled and put furniture polish on the scales. Very decent pull on these and ferocious snap, so it's back up on a nail in the newer place's kitchen. Beers and Tonic Waters on the menu for Sunday afternoon's jinx....

That’s the way to do it 👍.
I had my collection out over the weekend for a wipe down etc. but mainly to clean up the display cabinet . I’m glad to report all but 2 knives have seen decent use, obviously some favourites see more action than others but all “get used”.. 🤘
