Not the first one like this, but I'm still improving the subject of sheath.
This time other holes for the strap, and better fixing to the strap.
The rest of the parameters remained unchanged.
D2 3 mm ,70/90
Brass and stabilized wood.

The task was to make a large leuk and puukko in one sheath.
And this is my vision of this case.
Steel O1 58 HRC 4 mm
Handle made of Karelian birch, brass and antler.
Sheath leather with wooden inserts.
The set includes a Swiss 9mm magnesium firestarter.

"Teardrop" puukko.

Steel N690 3.5 mm
Blade 120 mm
130 mm handle
Handle materials: Brass, birch bark.
A leather sheath with a wooden insert.

That one is my favorite of all the puukkos you have made. I love the clean lines and how the grind follows the blade. How are the handles held to together on puukkos?

It's simple...When I cutting the blade I'm making long tang...at the end of tang I make thread, so the end of handle is screwed to the rest and in the same time it squeezes the birch bark.
Please excuse me my poor English, but I hope I explained it clearly enough. ;)

Interesting, that is what I figured but wasn't for sure. Thanks for the reply!

I take it you glue (epoxy) the butt piece to the birch bark as you tighten the screw into place?

Yes everything is glued also. When birch bark is not glued it's like cork, but when it's glued it's more solid and stiff.

Gentleman's EDC Puukko.
How about wearing EDC's puukko instead of your office?
(Yes, I know... as a gentleman, but my fingers are still like a worker)
