Awesome! Thank you so much. I just wasn't sure if the email got sent since I haven't had much experience with in-forum emails.
 
Just wanted to share that cchu518 is just a GREAT forumite and an AWESOME human being!

After I sent him my PIF'ed Buck Vantage he decided to send me something back ... which is my EDC ever since.
He actually read most of my previous posts and decided, based on those, the PERFECT knife to send back to me!

I love it and will NEVER EVER give that one away!

So to honor cchu518 and because it has not made it into my EDC rotation I want to PIF something else:
A Cold Steel Mini Lawman!

It is just too big to fit my like for small knives (OD-2 / Peanut) and it is too small to fit my like for big knives (Adamas, 0350, Mountain Man).

A few things about who I am willing to give it to:
  • It is to be a "user"! Not using a knife is a direct insult to its' maker!
  • You need to post here, stating WHY you want it!
  • You need to post a knife-related picture here!
  • You have to have more posts on BF than me (184+) ;)
  • I have no money to send it this month, so I will choose someone on March 1st, based on the reasons and pictures posted!

I hope this is acceptable.

Darn the only thing I dont have is more posts than you. I would love this as I just got into the knife thing and I just bought my first knife about a week ago so getting to have some other knives to use would be neat. Here is a picture of my first knife.

I want it because I have never owned a Cold Steel. If I win, I will find something to PIF.

Here's my picture. It is an Opinel that cchu518 payed forward to me. (I thought it would be a fitting entry...;))

 
Thanks for the shout out Bernd, it was my pleasure! I don't know if I gave you the one that I already had or the one that GaryC sent me that I was trying to get my wife to EDC in her purse. Hope you get a lot of use out of it. It's about as close to a modern one handed traditional peanut pattern that I have found to date. Way better than the Leek in my opinion. And that was after picking up nearly all of the regular you tube guys top EDC choices over the course of a year, i.e. cutlerylover and Nutnfancy. lol.
 
Is this still going? If love to dig one of my older knives out to se someone get more use of.
 
I'll look tomorrow what I can part with I MAY put up my case peanut. If I do, whoever decided to take it, know this: it has a fair amount if surface rust, and though I have never sharpened it it is RAZOR sharp.

Ah, hell. I'm in! :D I'm applying because I've never owned one of those knives before, and I think it would be great as a work knife. I work in the receiving department at a college, so we're going through boxes, packing tape and zip ties all day long. The size of the Mini-Lawman would work perfectly in this environment. I believe I have more posts than you, kind sir. Here is my knife-related pic. One of my favorite pics of my Kershaw S30V Blur playing in my front yard.

 
up for PIF is a.....
1. Berkley fillet knife just under 7", was used for a couple of season for salmon fishing on the Kenai river. Not the best steel but will stay razor sharp for a fish or 2, will get back razor sharp with a few swipes of a pull threw sharpener. The grip on this is very comfortable.
2. Rough Rider rr083 (was pif'd to me, doesn't fit my hand well. Maybe someone else will have better luck.)

Like the look of the rough rider (looks cool) but doesn't look comfortable... If I can find it I'm going to put up a buck clone... Can't remember which buck it is a clone of but it is a lockback with terrible blade steel and needs sharpening. However, it has taken quite the beating from me. Was one if my first knives and has been pushed into trees more times than I can count. It is a wonder the blade hasn't broken yet... Still has shiny finish.
