1. Berkley fillet knife just under 7", was used for a couple of season for salmon fishing on the Kenai river. Not the best steel but will stay razor sharp for a fish or 2, will get back razor sharp with a few swipes of a pull threw sharpener. The grip on this is very comfortable.
2. Rough Rider rr083 (was pif'd to me, doesn't fit my hand well. Maybe someone else will have better luck.)

I didn't wanna make the claim but I could really usethe fillet knife. Have been cleaning fish for the past few days and dont really have a knife for the job. Not long enough. Been using a Mora. Think its micro chipping?

I don't have anything to give but I've been getting a lot of time in the field lately so at the least I'll get to find which gear I do and don't use. I'll be on the lookout for that as my bags heavy..
 
As long as it gets some good use, and if/when you get a new one (fillet knife), I request you give it away or pif it. email me your address and I'll try and get it out tomorrow.

that will be done. I intend to update to a martini like my grandfathers, but there's nothing left of his.

When I upgrade, it'll move on.

I've got this large Gerber Paraframe if anyone is interested. Got it on sale like a year ago and haven't really used it. Its just been sitting in my maxpedition pack unused so I'd like it to go to someone who'll enjoy it. Especially if someone is just starting out collecting and only has gas station specials, or is particularly into Gerber.

SBK, I applaud you for being a younger man of character, but I wouldn't feel right accepting it. Truth be told, BladeForums has been extremely good to me this past week. Not only do I have a ZT 0566 on it's way to me, I actually just won a GAW for a G-10 Spyderco Dragonfly. My knife needs (small and large) have been met and I couldn't be happier.

So you go ahead and keep this one, Spyder. Thanks again for being so awesome about it.

That's pretty cool of you! Thanks. I don't need it in any way, (I have tons of knives) but it will be fun to try out my first Cold Steel. As Nal0n has requested, it will be a user. It will be interesting to find out if all the hype around Cold Steel is worth anything. If I end up not using it much, it'll be back here.
 
About a week or so ago I ended up getting a decent amount of leather from goodwill. I haven't made much with it but I have made myself a decent strop out of a strip of leather and 4 layers of cardboard (had no wood on hand). I figure I could spare a couple extra strips or so if anyone is interested in making their own strop. I could try and make one too but I think it would just be easier (and cheaper) for the recipient to just try and find something around the house they can attach it to. I don't want to spend more on shipping than I did on the leather!

Here's the one I made. The glue I used didn't quite stick perfectly but a little packing tape on the underside of each end fixed that. I don't have any stropping compound but it still seems to work for me.

Well, not sure if this is allowed or not; but I would love a beater knife to practice scratch/rust removal. I just got some supplies and I successfully removed some rust from a Spyderco, but I want to get some more experience. Only thing that matters is that the blade needs to be satin.

If you've got a nice knife; I'll remove the scratches for free and send it back! But preferably, I would like to gain some more experience on an inexpensive knife; despite doing a nearly perfect job on my first one. Thank you!
 
Does anyone have a esse 4 5 or 6 they are willing to part with? I'm looking for straight edge. Not serrated.

I got the Mini Lawman out to Eli on Friday, sorry for the delay.
I have given some and claimed none so far. So I'd like to let you know what I am longing for... a nice, EDC'able (as in harmless looking, non-tactical) fixed blade <= 12cm blade length.
If anyone has one of those to give away I'd be most thankful ;)

Haven't forgotten you! Desktop crashed, so I've been spending my free time trying to get it running again. I'll email tonight.
