Pay It Forward -- it's been a while

Hi All. I'm pretty content with my current collection and I'm not looking to pick anything up, but I think this is an incredibly awesome idea and it makes me want to contribute. I don't have anything I'm willing to part with that's anywhere near on par with what others have donated, and I apologize for that (and am a bit embarrassed, too :o), but if anyone can use this little guy, I'd be happy to send him off to a new home.

It was one of the first knives I bought when I started collecting and it banged around in my purse for a while, but it hasn't had much use other than opening envelopes. I don't know what model it is or even where I got it. I've kept it for silly sentimental reasons, but I haven't carried it in ages and this thread made me realize it might be a good time to pass it on to someone else who might be looking for a small, low end knife for whatever reason.

No ruler for scale, but the Sharpie pen should give a rough idea of size. He's a teeny fellow.

Free to a good home anywhere that's covered by USPS priority mail for <$10.

HEY WTJ!! Why don't you throw one of your sebenzas into the mix!! Get this party really rolling!! Haha

Pay it forward in action.

I wanted to show you what this thread has done. The thread got kind of derailed, but is now on track. Wanted to share this, especially for Palonej who donated this particular knife.

I claimed the knife for my son who works on a sportfishing boat, very harsh environment so the Spyderco pacific salt was perfect for him. He needed a good knife, since all of his were coming back rusted. I subsequently donated a Benchmade griptillian that I hope is getting some good use. That's the short story now the pic.

My son is the one holding the Yellowtail and you can see the yellow pacific salt sticking out of his pocket.... seemed appropriate.

Heya all. Just found out about the thread and wanted to add something. I don't cruise the forums much just the exchange. Anyways I have a good "first knife" for a younger person or a good user for working in the shop or around the house. I have a Case XX Sodbuster Jr from the 1990s I believe. It's in good shape and has a ton of life left. It's not much but it's the thought that counts :D

That is awesome. I have 1 to list.

I lost my prybar at work and as last hope I posted for one on the wanted page. This item was not expensive but was out of production and no other way to find one. Few weeks go by as the little hopes were diminishing, I receive a pm. To my surprise, he does not ask for anything but my address. He will definitely receive something in return but the notion of helping out others was inspiring. This forum is a great place filled with great members. I hope that does not taken advantage of in anyway.
I would like to contribute and pay it forward as gentleman did for me with prybar.
I would like to see it go to someone who cannot afford and will put it to use. My hopes is that you can gift something back when you have the opportunity. Please do not interpret this thread as a giveaway to those who have the means to fund their hobby.
These items have very minimal use.

~Leatherman Skeletool.

Bruised, PM sent for a hold on the Skeletool for a fellow member here, I am trying to get in contact with him.

If that member passes up could I claim a tentative seconds on the skeletool if the other member says no or already found one?

I would shoot a PM to Bruised regardless.
He did mention wanting to hear from others as well, no harm in a friendly PM.

I wouldn't want to step on another members claim. That is one of the only leatherman models I've liked that I've never bought for whatever reason.

Hey it is the thought that matters. $10 or $400, giving to the community is giving to the community. I mean if somebody wants to give away a $400 folder, I would love to claim pre dibs :p

Here's a handmade kiridashi with a kydex Sheath that I actually picked up from a previous PIF thread. I've seen the makers mark around a time or two, but I cannot remember his name right now.

I carried it quite a bit, but new tiny fixed blades have kicked it out of my pocket. There is no sense in letting it go unused though.

Just a heads-up... If anyone does want it, it may take a few days for me to get it to the post office.

So great to see this picking up a bit of momentum!!
What a great thread!!

I have a few more, but here's a couple I can go ahead and list to let yall mull over.

I have:
A kershaw blur, tanto plain edge in BDZ1 steel. Carried deassisted, not sharpened and still sharp from factory.

I have a Schatt and Morgan swell center moose in ebony. One of 100. It is a wonderful knife with a hard pull on both blades, but the edge was wonky from the factory. I've been trying to correct it by hand but it may not be perfect when I send it out. I Love this knife, bit because of its edge issue I find myself neglecting it.

Please note it will be 4 or 5 days before I can get it out. I will post pictures friday night. Thank you, may have more to come!
