Pay It Forward -- it's been a while

Received the SOG multi tool from my friend NJBill yesterday!!
It has been put to work already and is a beast!!!
Thank you William!!! I really appreciate it! And rest assured.....that bad boy will be at work with me every day!!

Fantastic to hear it!
It is a very capable multitool, thought out well with locking and replaceable everything, should the need arise.
You could even use that to customize it if you would like.

Hi folks. Glad to see this is still going. I've got a lightly carried Recycled Firefighter wallet up for grabs. Carried it about a week. Removed the tag. Great thin card holder/wallet. Let me know if you wanna try it out.

I have been eyeing these for a while and just can't seem to make a deal on one. I carry a wallet in my front pocket for business cards and building access key cards. This would be great, I'd love to pick this up.

All yours. Sent you a PM.

Boker lockback is Illinois bound to Elgin!

Was running out the door for work this morning, and my wife says "did you know you got a package yesterday?". Well, I did not. Awesome!

This is what was in it.

Thanks! It's great! Carrying it today.

Hey, at least your wife will let you know when a package arrives. Consider yourself lucky.

You're welcome. Glad it arrived without a hiccup. Now put that little guy to use!

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum and knife collecting. The generosity spread here is awesome, and I want to be a part of it. I've got a brand new kershaw freefall. I'm sorry I chucked the box when it came in. Not sure if it's really appealing to anyone, but I'm sure I will be able to offer nicer pieces in the future.

She must have been in a good mood, because normally I get the "What did you buy now?!?!"

Very nice, and well deserved Elgin!!
Enjoy it!!
Joe

Thanks Joe!

Already used it to open a few boxes. I'm really digging it. Thanks again!

Popping back for a quick update: The Yello-Jacket I got from dkb45 is really handy at work. I've been keeping it in my desk and using it instead of my SAK because I can never seem to keep my SAK sharp enough for the blade to, well, cut anything. :o

I love the Yello-Jacket, though. It's pretty big (by my standards, at least) and super sharp but very unthreatening. I have no qualms about using it in an office setting in front of other people.

Here she is yesterday after being put to work sharpening a proper old fashioned pencil when no one could find a pencil sharpener.

& Back she goes into the desk drawer. :)

Thanks again, dkb45!

(& I almost didn't post this because I was afraid that making the Yello-Jacket my work/desk knife might somehow come across as insulting, as if I've banished it to a dark corner out of sight, but that's not at all what I meant. It really is handy having it right next to where I'm spending 8 or 9 hours of the day.)

-----------------------------------

& This isn't a pointless visit to the thread. I have knives up for grabs. Nothing fancy or new, but decent, usable knives. All purchased second hand because they were each being sold with another knife that I was interested in trying, so I figured I'd see if anyone here could use the extras. None of 'em are particularly pretty, but they're all functional.

From left to right:

A purple Victorinox Florist. This one would be pretty awesome if it were aaaany color other than purple. Can you paint an SAK? ;) Other than the purpleness, it's perfect.

Then a Victorinox Spartan, I think, except it doesn't have the toothpick and tweezers. And it has an ugly logo on the back. Otherwise it, too, is perfect. I found someone selling red 91mm Victorinox scales cheaply enough that I figured I didn't have much to lose. Assuming the scales are legit, and the right size, that might be an option to make it look a little better. I've never tried changing SAK scales, but a 12 year old in a youtube video made it seem simple enough. :p

Spyderco Delica 3, ATS-55, serrated edge. Pretty rough looking with paint missing from the clip and all. It slices paper well enough but I haven't tried it on anything else.

And a Kershaw Leek. Black coated handle and blade. When I got this one, the assisted opening didn't work at all. I opened 'er up, replaced screws and washers and torsion bar with new ones from Kershaw, cleaned and oiled everything and added new grease around the torsion bar and I'm happy to say it now it flips beautifully. :)
