So I'm kind of bummed that member Cereal_Killer hasn't replied. USPS tracking shows the item arrived Monday, I sent him an email and a pm here on the site trying to confirm he received the item but no reply. I'm not looking for a thank you or anything, I'd just like to know it got to him ok...

Got 'em!! Love these blades.....definitely new and the trouble NalOn went to in shipping prep was very much appreciated! He oiled both blades in "Ballistol, non-toxic, safe for food, tastes bad though", placed them in their own zip-lock baggie and then placed both into another zip-lock bag. Then he packed them VERY well to ensure both would arrive in perfect condition. ONLY a true Knife-Addict would go to such trouble.:thumbup: Thanks again brutha! .....and here's the amazing duo

Ryan, for some reason I still have the two Case barlows I was to send to you. I guess the "some reason" is plain laziness. I have the box in my truck just have never gone by the post office. In the spirit of Christmas I make you a solemn promise that I will send them out on Thursday. My travels that day take me directly by the post office.

I also want to thank 30ZappHappy30 aka Jake for being super cool about the opinel 6 he claimed. I have a friend/coworker that lost his knife and I asked if I could give it to him. He said "by all means, give it to him.". Very good of him to do that. My friend will love the 6 and use the heck out of it!

btw. I visited my Grandpa over Christmas and found another Opinel #8 that I left there last year but never used...

Im in the market for a decent fixed blade, something tough. Ive got two folders to my name. 561 and chive. Best EDC duo in the world if you ask me.
Ive got a sharpening system that I may put up here in a day if I can take a pic, cuz my wife got me a new sharpmaker and a sweet tool box setup for all my supplies.

BTW, this is my first time eating white castle burgers. Its the cheese that sets them apart if you ask me, not sure what kind tho!?
 
Well, I know is a mora is great. But what in the esee line is cheap and tough. I want something about 11 inches and tough as nails, part serrations are OK. Ive never owned a good fixed blade in my life, so I guess I need to research more.
BTW the chive is exactly what I needed with the beast.

Yup or 12" max I would say. Durable and easy to sharpen. Id carry it with my 0561 and the chive so what would be managable. Id carry all of the above together at work and play. Just the folders in public and at home.

I think most are feeling this way. I know I've been frustrated time and time again trying to claim an item and missing out due to somebody claiming their 4th or 5th item, or claiming it for their roomate's brother's friend who "really needs a knife". For what it's worth I've pif'd 3x and haven't been able to claim squat.
