I'm glad to hear it got there safely, I was actually holding off sending whetstone his till I heard my packaging was adiquate so thank you! I hope it works for you, I pretty much use mine exclusively to touch up my recurve's which is actually why I started making them in the first place.

Ok cool! I really appreciate it. I have wanted a non Walmart watch for a really long time, but never actually made a purchase. I will be wearing this watch every day! Should I email you?

I've never had an issue with shipping or receiving. I usually get tracking and send the number to them immediately. Sometimes people have to wait to send it out, but once it is in the mail it will assuredly arrive.

Just curious, has anyone received anything from Whora? I know he posted some things, and people claimed a few.
 
He said that it turns out that he did send it but it must have got lost or delayed.

I dont want to accuse anyone of anything but that is just what he told me...
 
JNieporte is on another forum I visit and has had health issues for awhile. Hopefully he's okay. Once he's back he'll get the gifts sent out I'm sure.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that if anyone thinks a person is being shady or simply pretending to contribute to take items, put them on your ignore list. If it becomes a serious problem with anyone, I think that a list of said shady folks should be edited into the first post of each PIF thread so people don't get caught with their pants down.

I personally, have seen all my knives shipped and received. I've kept up contact until they arrived. I've also thanked people once I've received their items. Call me a little petty, but I sent an Opinel to a certain someone and never got a word on whether it arrived, much less a thanks. Some people may need to adjust their attitudes in regards to giving or receiving, else simply leave the thread. It really sours the air, which in turn leads to posts like the one I am now making.

I'll be posting 1-2 more knives here soon, as soon as I am clear to drive. I had an appendectomy this time last night, so I can't be out and about for a bit.

That's one guy that should have the benefit of the doubt. He came out of the blue and contributed many, many items in the spirit of giving. We all read that he was having personal problems and I'm sure once he's good to go he'll catch up with anyone who hasnt received their items. Patience is a virtue. :)

Thanks! It was a laparoscopic, so it should only be a week or two til I'm close to normal, minus heavy lifting. Btw I used the Rat that you had no part of to cut my food and some of the tape off my arms. Should have seen the nurses' eyes!
 
I sent a Opinel No2 USPS to lemepris and I even got updated pictures with his modifications. really made me feel even better about paying it forward!

BTW, your rat bit me today; surprising for a knife I thought I wouldn't use much. I've placed it back in its original packaging twice now and stuck it in my desser drawer as a "momento" but somehow everyday it finds its way out of the box and clipped to my pocket for awhile.

Made breakfast with it and took it to the sticks today (my yard) lol.

Went to close it but instead of pushing on the liner lock, I was pushing on the blade...

I'm in the middle of a move and once I'm in my new apartment and have everything out of storage and such I will really be able to go through it and see what I have. I'm just going off of things I have in hand at the moment lol.

Whora - Whether it was you or your... brother.. who emailed me I'm not sure, but you said you weren't skilled when it comes to tying paracord so I offered to tie you a few lanyards and send them instead of just a bunch of paracord. However, I would like to see the gentlemen who claimed your offerings get their items as well.

Everything will be sent to everyone on the 7th, thank you for being patient but waiting is a bit better for me due to funds to ship lol.

I hope it really catches. All it takes is one little gesture, and the feeling makes you want to do more. It is in human nature to be tribal, to share the work, to contribute to the whole. Only in recent times has excess and wealth corrupted our natural instincts so completely that everyone now seems to put themselves first no matter what.

Makes me happy to see well known members contributing! You've always been a great source of comparison information in my opinion; this just shows even more so what an awesome person you are. Kudos.

Tiremet makes it, they have some really cool self defense tool/pendents too. This is made of titanium and cost me less than 20 shipped but the site i got it from no longer has it for sale, but it can still be found on the bay

They also make this, which i think is pretty awesome.
