I don't care who gets what as long as they are giving as much or more than there taking. But if you think someone is abusing I think we should be able to skip to the next person in line.
 
I would have grabbed a fat wood bundle but I have some left from my last lucky find. It is no where near as nice as that stuff. I occasionally have the ability to stumble on it.

Have not taken from these threads, but have really enjoyed reading it. There are a few per thread that have posted "mine" many many times. Some have nearly no posts on the forum, other than giveaways.

Hopefully the thread, and the spirit of them keeps going!
 
Gung_ho that is sort of what happened the other day. And i should point out it was handled politely and tactfully, i was impressed.

There are no set rules for the thread, but people are free to set their own conditions on what they are giving away. IE if they want to give their item to someone who hasn't claimed anything yet, it is their choice.

BTW I love how my avatars beard just sort of pops out all over the page hahaha.

I just stumbled upon this thread this morning and still can't believe how cool it is.

I might offer up one of my hand made sketchbooks if there's any artists in the house.
I also have a whole bunch of zerust dividers from flambeau boxes that I could send out in 24 packs. We use the boxes at work but they toss the dividers. they supposedly prevent rust for 5 years. I'll offer 3 packs.


I'm hoping someone will have a carbon steel slippie going up. I want to take up whittling and make little trinkets for my boy (he's 2) and then give him the knife when he grows up. I think that would mean a lot. I'm starting with cut branches from the tree out back of the house we plan on living in for the rest of our lives.

Thank you to everyone giving stuff out in this thread. It reminds me of how awesome knife folks can be.

Your family will find you under a bridge with nothing but a box full of Opinel's and 4 days' growth on your face...your clothing ragged, they'll take you downtown to a nice clean place where the doors lock from behind a desk where the overweight nurse sits all night reading romance novels in her glass cage....
 
Alright guys I'm fixing to go to bed in a few. Whoever claims the gerber could you also email me in case the thread blows up inbetween now and the next time I get on. And if anyone has a bushcraft type knife with a fire steel holder attached to the sheath I could really use one.
 
Hey guys!!! This thread is nothing short of awesome! Really shows the true colors of the community.
I'd like to offer something as well. I sold most of my collection (needed the money:() except for two knives. This is one of them. It is a well loved Schrade Old Timer. It works perfectly for edc but the blade is too small for me. It has a solid lock up and is a real work horse
