Pay it forward thread...the remake!

I would really like to try any kai or really any type of "flipper" or fast opening folder. My folder experience has been limited to my two slip joints and one lock back (and what ever opinel is). I'm very intrigued by all the innovative opening methods, and would be eternally grateful if someone offered me one. I know there have been lots of spyderco's graciously given away, however I've been beaten out every time. If it matters to anyone, I have tried to claim things on this thread, however unsuccessful.
 
Hey guys if anyone is giving away any fairly nice folders could you let me know I could really use one, I have somethings (maybe even a custom that I made) to give away in the next week or so and want to give my Spyderco persistence away to someone who might like it more than I did.
 
Oh man....you guys talking about Opinels so much, I think I might have to go get one now. Love me some carbon steel.

If you'll give me some time I'll see if I can sort something out. In the meantime, I hope someone will pass something to you. You have been pretty patient.

If you haven't tried an opinel I have a #8 that I'm modding right now; it's gonna be sweet and the #8 is the quintessential opi to have...

Let me know if you want it.

not to be rude or "call you out" but have you actually given anything yet?

just browsing through your posts it seems that you've taken quite a bit (heaps actually)...

this is pay it forward and you should give before you get...

it also seems that you're asking for items frequently.

If you look back in the thread, you'll see that I'm one of the biggest opinel fanboys here, I posted a pic of my no 8 and even ordered a brand new one to a members house. :D

Its not rude you are right I have not given anything away yet and I have gotten some stuff some of it is not working for me so I am going to re-gift on here.
but I am going to to give a bunch away in a week or so I am going to post a neo tribal neck knife that I made but it needs to be heat treated first and I can give away my persistence when I finish my friction folder.

I know, right, i think some of these people may be thinly veiled Opinel sales personnel ;). They must be good at it because they have convinced me to try the brand

Its not a kai, but i have an old used S&W M&P folding knife that i got years ago to match my M&P pistol. The model is SWMP5LS and you can google it to see it. Its awesome looking, but the locking mechanism on its not great. Its plenty sharp but I sharpened it before i really knew what i was doing so the edge is not polished. the coating is worn as well. And the screws need tightening, i just dont have the tool needed to do it, i dont own one of those star looking screwdrivers.

All that being said it has an extremely fast flipping action and plenty of life left in it, But you would need to be careful with it because it opens when the safety is on. It might just need to be tightened, because it used to stay closed when the safety was on, so it could be a quick easy fix, i just dont have the tool to do it.

But if you want it, it would give you a great idea on fast opening folders. Just send me your address and ill ship it out after I get paid, Sorry man but i just cant ship anything right now, i just spent 95 at the post office yesterday on shipping boxes.
