Todd: Hey bud cant seem to PM again and BF also wont let me send emails out from here right now either... Also cant seem to find a phone number, email address, or regular address for you on BF or on you website. So i guess this will work for now LOL...

But they are out of 1/4" ammo, they do have 3/8....7/16...1/2..And...9/16" in stock right now. Let me know which you prefer and i still need your shipping address, other than im ready to order your new "toy" :D

Yeah it started with me feeling like I had cracked some ribs, or sepereated them, and then a few little bumps. Today theres a full blown rash there, and it feels more like broken ribs. No itching or any normal rash symptoms though.
Thanks for the link, I will try some of those options.

I am seeing on our local craigslist people who went out and bought pallets of water, now selling it for $28-40 per case.......sheeple

Also the governor has declared us a state of emergency-

Damn Silver. My wife had shingles and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. At peak she was incapacitated with pain for about three weeks. Still has scars from the episode.

Yeah, its on my right side, or I would have thought I was having a heart attack ..lol

Sorry to hear that Thorny.....Happy Birthday anyway. Gave myself hernia surgery for my birthday once.....wasn't really a great birthday that year. There'll be others. I hope you can get the upper hand, and soon.

Happy Birthday Thorny!

Ill have to look up this sawyer....

Mmm state of emergency eh? That sucks, time to start killing lake algae! Bye bye food chain!

There are 2 Sawyers really the .1 micron and the .2 the .1 does more than most people will ever need, the .02 is even better ..lol The .2 actually removes viruses as well as bacteria and other contaminants.
They make big kits for buckets and such and even two packs with two filters and two sets of pouches. Good for a million gallons too so they say. Good stuff.

Edited for accuracy

I own the mini and have used both the Sawyer .1 and .02 versions as well as the lifestraw and a couple different Katadyn filters. I cant say enough good things about Sawyer!!

I have used the .1 version in a large group with great success as well, you could literally filter water for a small village with just one of those filters.

The mini is rated at 100,000 gallons but the larger ones are at a million.

There is no question of which is better, on paper and in use the Sawyer kicks the Lifestraws butt!!

ETA: It's the .02 micron that filters viruses. .2 micron would be what Lifestraw filters at and will not remove viruses. Waterborne viruses are rare in North America though thankfully.

Once again I'd like to thank you fellas for the compassion, condolences,...with regards to the passing of my best friend's mom.
All of them departed in Italy last Thursday, and they got back yesterday. She is undergoing autopsy in a Belgian hospital at the moment.
Just saw my friend for two hours, he, his sister and their father were total wrecks. No wonder.
He pretty much crashed on my shoulder and just talked for two hours while I listened. I think it did make him feel better somewhat. At the end we were joking a bit here and there so the mood lightened up, but you could feel that the atmosphere was extremely heavy.
She'll be buried next saturday. I hope that'll give them some closure so they can finally move on and start living their own lives again. Right now they're pretty much being lived by others and by the circumstances. Rough times for them. I'll just try to be there whenever he needs me, that's all I can do.

That's why I bought a couple 15-gallon food-grade carboys, to always have fresh water on hand. Our tap water is heavily chlorinated so I have to fill 'em and let them sit open for a day to let the chlorine dissipate, for the garden plants. So the water is rotated out pretty regularly.

Fill up your tubs and sinks for washing and flushing the commode. Be safe up there...
