I bought a bottle of that when I took the boys on their first overnight at the beginning of summer. The place we stayed was well known for their blood thirsty mosquitoes and an abundance offs ticks. I sprayed 3 outfits with one bottle (shorts and tshirt for me, pants and tshirt for them)and we also used some homemade bug spray and didnt see one tick and each only had 2 to 3 mosquito bites (when we scouted the site a few weeks prior to this we got dozens of bites each and were only out of the car for ten minutes....the stuff works.

Thats awesome bud!!

Last time i went camping for a night i slept in my hammock without a tarp or a bugnet... I brought a tarp with me but didnt bother using it... I even got about 4 hours just like that, which is great for me... And I wasnt ate up with bites or anything, but I did have a few here and there...

I really liked having the open sky as my view.... And i think even just the bug net might hinder the view some.. So i want to see if just treating the hammock would make it comfortable enough without a net.. I have read about a few people having great luck just treating their hammock.... But i will probably still end up getting a net in the future for when the skeeters are in full force, but the more i can go without a net or tarp the better!!

jonesing for a log arch ...

used would be nice, but you know, a guy gotta do what a guy gotta do

Holy crap! I was just checking out the exchange and a "barely used" BK5 just sold for $40! Plus a Cold Steel Trail Master sold for $70. If I'd gotten there 10 minutes earlier, they both would be mine.

Anyway, whose working overnight with me?

Just hanging out bud!!

And i removed the lights i had hanging in my basement so i could have more overhead room to practice chopping techniques.... After almost destroying the 2 hundred dollar light setup LOL But without those lights its pretty dark down there. I tried making a quick video a couple days ago but it was really hard to see. But ill be putting the lights back up in 2 weeks or so and then i will be making more videos :D

Thanks for asking bud!!

Ya, I subscribed to you YT channel buy hadn't gotten any notifications lately. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on any of the greatness! :D

Let me know if/when you see any of this "greatness" you mention... I just went and looked and couldnt find any :D

That pack is made in Philipsburg PA... Ill be going right past there in a couple weeks when i head up to Peter's Heat Treat.

Cool, you gonna get a tour? Say hi to Brad for me.

Ethan pays me in day-old bread and expired Jif peanut butter to moderate this subforum.

Peanut butter expires? I've never had a jar last long enough to find out.

Yea man, and will do!!

Thats one of the things i asked when i heard the event would be at Peter's!! I think it would be pretty cool to actually see whats going on in there and to meet Brad as well.

I hear the days will be full of learning..... The evenings... well thats another story :D

Ahh that's right, you mentioned going to a cutting comp... you're gonna enjoy that, bud  Those folks are very friendly and open to questions.

Had a good day on the lake yesterday with my cousin and his wife. We did some casting into trees, trolling, and jigging. They bite was fairly slow, but we did pull in quite a few fish. I think the count was somewhere around 3 northern, 6 white bass and 35ish walleye. Most of the walleye were pretty small, but we brought home 7 good sized ones to eat. One of the northerns was 7ish lbs. I also got one helluva sun burn. Only managed one pic the whole day.

Good Lord! I haven't been fishing in a long time but maybe that's because I really suck at it. :D Sounds like a great time though!

What are you doing up AC?

It was definitely a good time. We might go out again Sunday afternoon again.

I work overnights, so I'm generally up at least part of the night even on my days off.

Same here. I hust started graveyard about 2 weeks ago and still struggling to get adjusted. Usually 3 hours in the morning then im up before noon, back down around 5 and up at 9. Kinda rough but I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually.

Yeah you eventually figure it out. I've been on night shift for 7 years. I still get messed up with my sleep schedule from time to time, but its not too bad.
