I bought a bottle of that when I took the boys on their first overnight at the beginning of summer. The place we stayed was well known for their blood thirsty mosquitoes and an abundance offs ticks. I sprayed 3 outfits with one bottle (shorts and tshirt for me, pants and tshirt for them)and we also used some homemade bug spray and didnt see one tick and each only had 2 to 3 mosquito bites (when we scouted the site a few weeks prior to this we got dozens of bites each and were only out of the car for ten minutes....the stuff works.
Thats awesome bud!!
Last time i went camping for a night i slept in my hammock without a tarp or a bugnet... I brought a tarp with me but didnt bother using it... I even got about 4 hours just like that, which is great for me... And I wasnt ate up with bites or anything, but I did have a few here and there...
I really liked having the open sky as my view.... And i think even just the bug net might hinder the view some.. So i want to see if just treating the hammock would make it comfortable enough without a net.. I have read about a few people having great luck just treating their hammock.... But i will probably still end up getting a net in the future for when the skeeters are in full force, but the more i can go without a net or tarp the better!!
