Its been pouring all night long over here. I like it!! Just hope it stops before 10am or so.

Have to go to the post office, pay some bills and ship a couple boxes.. Want to ride the bike, there are some pretty big hills that make for good exercise on the way there and a quick and fun ride back LOL

But if its raining ill just have the wife take me. Im sure there are a few guys that might not like all their blades going through a couple miles in the rain :D

Pics and videos either way :D Im excited just to be going!! Learning directly from the world champ is, in my eyes, an opportunity of a lifetime. It would be like a teenager playing basketball in the projects and Michael Jordan walks up and ask him if he wants free lessons...
 
Early morning work snark!

Last night I went to bed the same time as my oldest kiddo. Nothing like hitting the sac at 8pm to make you feel great getting up early lol.
 
I wasn't feeling too good yesterday. So I went for a dip in the hot tub, relaxed, then went to bed.

Unloaded the 5lbs of stuff I had in my pockets into my new edc bag, added my bk2 and a med kit. I feel a whole lot lighter now :D

Love how dead Saturdays are at work.

Not too much. About to lay in the hammock for an hour or 2 before the kids wake up and start running through the house like savage animals :D

my family is out of town right now about 45 minutes away from my house and I just heard that we have a do not drink do not touch do not boil water advisory at home due to a toxin from an algae in lake erie. And it affects all sorrounding.areas who have city water. Everywhere is completely sold out of water at home so I figured id run to the local walmart to get some extra in case they dont have it fixed by monday...and the store was almost out already....40 miles away lol- this could get serious...they are saying boiling makes its more toxic....

Jeez OFM4, I hope it rains soon so you can at least collect water from your rain gutters. If not, maybe the red cross or the county will set something up for y'all.

WW I too would love to see some videos of the cutting comp. That whole blade sports thing is really interesting to me, but like everything else, Maine seems to be a dead zone for it.

I hope you have a good time and let us know what it was like and as always... PICS!

I just bought a steripen lol.....they just declared it safe to bathe in but it is not safe to drink or boil....they have the governor and feds getting ready to act if need be. I heard from people back at home that there is lots of crazyness going on like insane drivers and fights at the stores over water-lol- sheeple
 
I know Walmart has a program where they can get emergency items such as water from their distribution centers fast. I believe it is called and EOC. I would be surprised if there wasn't something already in the works to replenish the shelves.

In times of greater need Walmart also sets up a tent "store" and lets people come on and take what they need at no cost. I hope it doesn't come to that for you ODFM4 but I would think there would be a plan in place.

I wonder what the toxin is and how much it will spread....great lakes is the largest supply of fresh water....scary stuff.
 
I wonder if you could make a still to purify the water.

I would do some research into that. I doubt algae could travel with the water vapors that would reform into liquid.

Id store a few bottles of the contaminated water and label them. :D just incase I met somebody I really didn't like....i mean incase they were thirsty

And yea when it comes to BladeSports it seems to really only take place in a few different locations, and it seems the majority of events take place in Texas... And Texas is FAR for me LOL Luckily PHT is only 5-6 hours away and they hold an event there once a year.
