Pelican Cases For Sebenzas....!!! I Have Questions...???

I would suggest using the closed-cell foam they offer or a custom cut closed-cell foam. My cases came with open cell as the default and, if you are in a humid environment or get liquid inside the case accidentally, the foam can trap this inside. IMHO it is worth it for ease of clean up and long term storage to use closed-cell.

I used to have a closed cell foam on one of my pelicans, but the pick and pluck ones are all in open cell foam...

The real problem is you guys (and gals!) just have too many CRKs. I can help that! Just send me your annuals . . . that should help you all out a lot! You are welcome.

I use a 1300 with the standard foam insert where you tear out pieces. Just remove the top layer piece & squeeze down with the knife that will be in the spot...

I just order a 1085 laptop model. It's thin, and the knife will lay flat, showing their presentation side. If that works out, I'll order enough more to fit my collection.

I used to have a Pelican 1510 for my camera gear. I think you should use that one to fit your entire 100+ CRKs... it comes with rollers.. no heavy lifting needed... LOL

Don't overlook the Pelican 1450... It's the larger brother to the 1300 and has the same (and much needed) depth. Perfect when you're trying to hold 30-40 Sebenza style knives in one. Depending how you pluck the foam, I bet you could get 48 in there while maintaining decent protection. It's true they get a little weighty, but two 1450s will work nicely for your collection. Manageable size to weight ratio, awesome protection, and a good value for the dollar. I went through two others before deciding the 1450 was the way to go.

I don't need it anymore, I'm down to 85 CRK's, only 80 are here. :p :p

Careful LW lol there would be more than one of us happy to pay you 10k for that case as pictures hahaha.

Something I do for some of my cases that look like what you have is get a big microfibre cloth, I use a black one, and stick it down the side of the case between the foam and wall then gently lay it across the top along the holes you plucked tucking it carefully in to the corners best you can. That will prevent damage to the foam, little bits of foam getting into the knives and a nice surface for the knives to rest on. If I suck at describing and you want a pic I can send one.

I have a small pelican case that im not sure what to do with. It has the removable cushion material but if you remove it, its a straight shot to the bottom, need an insert like LW^

I use 2 pelican but need to add another 1 or 2.. First one is a Pelican 1170 with nalpak insert. Then a 1060 for my UGs... :)

I am in on the Pelican 1170 w/ nalpak insert, just hit the order button. Not a horrible price considering.
