Pelican Cases For Sebenzas....!!! I Have Questions...???

Careful LW lol there would be more than one of us happy to pay you 10k for that case as pictures hahaha.
.

Just pictufe if I was out somewhere, and someone asked for help cutting something. "I can help you out", then I open that. :D :D

With that many Sebenzas, I would go with two of the 1400s. Nice thing about the Nalpaks is that they give you very specific info as far as the dimensions of the slots, so you can really dig in and find what works best for you. I use the 1170 8 knife and it works perfect for me.

I'm not sure it would be worth it. Heavy and awkward to move around, the slots don't allow for presentation side display but I guess there is always custom.

Forgot to mention that you can email them and they will pretty much do whatever you want, a thinner case with presentation side up would be pretty nice.

My guess is that they designed them more for storage and travel as opposed to having them on display. I open mine up every morning to choose what I want to carry, but other than that it is on the shelf. Nicer stuff is in a display case usually.

I have a 1170 8 knife on order. It's on backorder to be more accurate. I'm planning on testing it out. I have a toddler so I sold my big display case and am looking for something where I can at least look at them from time to time without destroying the new style box.

I'm also going to make sure the foam doesn't leave rub marks or anything.

Been using the nalpak blue foam inserts for awhile.. They won't scratch even the UGs with polished slabs...

Thanks for that feedback ice_man. Now the challenge becomes getting one. Apparently the company that makes the inserts for Nalpak is swamped and hopefully in the next couple days I'll get an eta. Funny how I can wait a month to order one, then a week later I still don't have a delivery date and QQ.

No big deal. My desk looks kinda cool with a bunch of Sebenzas spread all over.

Lol. Even with pelican cases, my sebenzas are all over my desk when I want to fondle them... :)

Also, yeah the nalpak inserts are getting pretty popular, especially in IG where they do most of their ads.. I ordered a few months back when they still had them in stock...

oh, for watch enthusiast, they also do foam inserts for watches... :)

I'm out of the watch game, sold all my Breitlings off and now I wear nothing. Don't think I'll get back into it. Thanks for the info tho!

But here is a pic of the mess requested by LW, in the middle of taking a lanyard and my son wants me to play with his truck instead of paracord.

Just FYI I also have the same case on order with them (ordered on 3/19). I just emailed them to see if they had any updates on my order. I got an email back in 5 minutes saying that my case was due to ship in 2 business days. They apologized for the delay and said that they would throw something extra in for the extra wait. So it sounds like they may be catching up on their back orders.

Cool! Thanks for the heads up!

I am placing an order for a custom 1470 to fit about 14 CRKs (small and Large mix) with presentation side up. :D

Waiting for a call from Nalpak to help figuring out the details for each cavities and for the possible configurations. It's a long 3 month wait, but will be totally worth it.

I have used pelican cases for a while now for various things. This is the first time I have heard of Nalpak though. Pretty cool setup they have going with the customization options and the knife specific inserts.

I also have been using Pelicans for about 10 years now for Camera and computer gears. Nalpak only creates the foam inserts, they still use pelican cases for them.

I believe Nalpak started selling the custom foam inserts for knives about 6 to 8 months ago. So it's still pretty new, but they have been in business selling Pelicans longer..
