Perfect Folder in Hand

In use I favor neutral handle designs, favorites being the classic Mora and Opinel. Just to fondle and fidget with I like my Recon 1, Delica, griptilian, and Buck 110.

I dislike overly contoured or form fitting designs as it forces my hand in one position, I use different holds on the knife depending on what I am doing with it, so simple is good for me.

that is what drew me to the Ti Lite handle.
I agree.

mtangent,

Lionsteel SR1/SR2

Thank you.
Obviously I know very little (nothing) about Lionsteel. I need to spend some time learning about them.

thanks again

the hold out is not my number one handle shape but it sure has a lot going for it.
And don't forget the two hand grip for taking that pesky charging knight on horse back off his charger. ;)

They have a forum here. The owner & designers respond quickly & knowledgably. They are well made knives.

All those knives with finger grooves and "ergos" feel great when the knife is idle. When it comes to working with a knife I want a rounder profile. I like my BM AXIS Bone Collector and CS Voyager for when I actually have to push on a knife. There's a reason hand tools don't come with finger grooves.

Spyderco Manix2 but only for one grip. My Smock knives SK23 is best overall for all grip positions. And Northwoods Esky Zulu for a smaller slip joint knife fits just right.

What is that one folder you own that just seems to fit your hand perfect. I'm not talking about your best cutting knife or most expensive knife or even your favorite knife to carry. I'm talking about the folder that when you grab it not only has no hot spots on your hand but just is a joy to hold. For me that knife is the Kershaw Knockout. How about everyone else?

Boker Subcom, Boker Trance, Boker Hyper, Spyderco Lava... pretty much everything designed by Chad Los Banos and the Spyderco Streetbeat fit my hand like a glove.

Spyderco L'il Matriarch, Spydeco Delica, Spydeco Dragonfly and Camillus CDA EDC fit ALMOST perfectly too. Almost.

Buck 110 with and without finger grooves. Both feel great. I'd also throw the Rat 1 in there. I think I like that better than the PM2.

This is a tough one,I'm going to say....

*REKAT Carnivore Cub

*Kershaw R.A.M.

*Kershaw 1055 Folding Field III Knife

Spyderco Street Beat has the best ergos I have ever handled. The Yojimbo 2 is the most comfortable folder I own.

For me, it's these three:

- Olamic Wayfarer (fullsize)
- Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter
- Emerson Commander (the middle one)

These three knives have handles that just feel "right" in my hands. I have plenty of knives that feel great in the hand: my ZT 0562CF, Emerson Vindicator, my Buck Vantage Pro, my Cold Steel Code 4, or my Medford Praetorian. But those three just feel like they melt into my hand.

I LOVE my Military, but the best feeling knife I have ever owned is the Spyderco Persian. It is wonderful!
