So looking around the forum I noticed that the persian style blade doesnt get mentioned much. Iv always thought it was a very sexy design and also very useful for a self defense role. Now I do realize the design is not a jack of all trades kind of design but to me it is very beautiful and deadly in its own right. Any others that like a nice persian blade?

Beautiful blades. I'm currently lusting after a Kizer Nomad by Dirk Pinkerton. Great example of a Persian blade.

I also love them...

Ya actually the one you had on the exchange inspired me to draw my own and ask this question. Your doing that style proud for sure.

Thanks brother! I've always had a fondness for this style, as you say they are just so elegant and yet so wicked looking at the same time.

Not a problem man thank you for inspiring me to sit down and draw one myself. Yep beautiful and deadly is much to my liking. I'm also a fan of daggers for the same reason.

There's about zero chance I'd ever carry one, but these are sexy as hell:

I quite like the upswept Persian style, but haven't found one that I'd carry yet.

yep. one of my favorite blade shapes.

Yes, one of the prettiest blade shapes. And I personally find the criticism of their usefulness for EDC to be overblown. I own a few Persian/upswept blade knives: Spyderco Massad Ayoob, Chinook and Persian. The K2 has a mild upswept blade.

I'm also on the lookout for any Persian that comes across the Exchange. If I can get them at a decent discount I'm waiting on Persians from Liong Mah, We and Kizer.

Yes I would imagine they would be okay in an urban environment as an edc. Many people edc far worse in my opinion. Mainly sharpened prybars that couldnt cut the c!!k off a snowman. Those companies all seem pretty good I have we knives on Instagram and like some of their stuff. Im not planning any purchases anytime in the immediate future but I still enjoy sketching new designs.

I have two bedlams and a small Persian fixed blade from Backwoods knives, I'll have to get pictures up of that one.
