persian love?

I love me a good persian. Talwar in XHP is easily one of my favorite folders of all time.

Beautiful blades. I'm currently lusting after a Kizer Nomad by Dirk Pinkerton. Great example of a Persian blade.

That's a great knife with some great ergos, very beautiful. I was very surprised in how many grips it felt comfortable in, especially saber and reverse EO grips.

Made this for a friend, will be sent to Peter's soon. I asked her if I could make one for me, she said "no" so I drew another design and she approved. I see more Persians being ground soon, really enjoyed making it.

I dig that one especially the way you have the back tapered to an acute skull crusher look. What are you putting on it for handle material?

My favorite fixed blade knife right now is the Osprey Knife & Tool “Raptor” by Chris Linton. While not strictly a Persian design, it still shares some of that pointy blade personality. I find that sharp tip very useful, particularly in the kitchen.

(Top to bottom: Standard Raptor, “K” variant Raptor, old style Raptor)

The “K” variant Raptor is a new style with a slightly taller blade in the back and an upturned handle that makes it more kitchen / food prep friendly.

Osprey K&T is on the hosted knifemakers forum here if you want to check out Chris' line of knives.

Definitely one of my favorite styles ! Cold Steel Talwar and several others . Persians are similar to the old upset skinner pattern that hunters used for many chores . More practical than many think .
