I have two bedlams and a small Persian fixed blade from Backwoods knives, I'll have to get pictures up of that one.
Some look nice, but don't have any edc practicality that I can see so I don't own any.
How do they not have any "edc" practicality? An upswept point is a blade shape that has been around for centuries.
Exactly. In the west it is much like a trailing point which is one hell of a fantastic general use blade shape.

for my edc needs the tip of the knife often has to penetrate first before cutting and an upswept blade makes this awkward, There's a reason why box cutters don't have upswept blades.
There's nothing wrong with liking this blade shape, but you should be honest with yourself and realize that it's not well suited to the daily cutting tasks that people encounter nowadays.
