I'm going to get myself a 1911 oneway if I decide to pack up and leave Cali for a more "luv me gunz" friendlier State. There's something about those old, fat and lethargic 45s which I like. Maybe they remind me too much of myself?
1911's are nice, but a really good one is expensive:D

You can't carry 7 0r 8 rounds in California?:mad::mad::mad:I always recommend getting a 12 Gauge auto like a Benelli or Beretta before a pistol-more effective! Pistol is a backup weapon:p:p:p:p

Oh no we definitely can. No more than 10 rounds in a clip though which is fine for the 1911 magazine capacity. I think that some manufacturer's just don't bother any more to re-up their models in that approved handgun list with the CA Sec. of State.

Pistols are for concealment, as backup to a long gun or fighting your way to a long gun :p

Casinostocks Casinostocks I'm a big fan of the Springfield custom shop guns. I've been carrying a Springer Pro as my CCW for a while. Great guns and they're on the roster :D I waited 18 months for mine but it was worth it! It's so reliable it's boring and by far, the most easy to shoot pistol I own in terms of trigger and mechanical accuracy.

Love it Gus  thank you for sharing. Just for stylistic points, seems must own a 1911 once so addictively into Nathan’s exquisite knives, for middle-aged and soon to be over-the-hill guys like me

All the while on Monday Oct 23rd with the outside temp showing a tepid 100F in this locale, I have something very cool to share which showed up about an hour or so ago, with my CPK brethren. At some point I will show a group photo of all my other antique micarta handled CPKs: LC-D3v & HDFK, alongside this one which is my first CPK blade in 4V. With many thanks and my gratitude as always to: Jo / Nathan + Lorien & Mark :)

Fugg...Just sent a staple through my thumb. Didn't hurt at all...Until I pulled the damn thing out. Anyways, this is how I carry the EDC on the job: One in the toolbelt, one off the shorts.

Hope that it heals up fast Bud

No rubbing your thumb at anyone anymore :p :D
