Jon, did you apply any kind of finish or oil to the scales that caused them to darken, or was it that dark upon arrival? 'Cause I think it's one of the best looking I have seen, dark to that degree. Love it..

Thanks Bob. When I first got it, I rubbed a light coat of vaseline on it, which darkened them richly. Other than that, it's just from handling it frequently and using it to cut stuff up!

Yep, I chopped some stuff up in the back yard, to throw in the fire pit. Nothing much, about some 4-5" rounds. This thing definitely throws the wood chips! I'd like to do a really thorough review of the BC and my HDFK next time my wife and I do an overnighter in the woods somewhere...

The sand blasted srews look great! Matches very nicely with the blade finish. I like the dark wood look too.

MMM, always loved that butterscotch FK. Not sure it that is the same one, but know you had it a while back. One of the dumbest moves I have made, but it made it's way around for awhile, so it earned it's keep, I'm pretty certain of that. Great material, that butterscotch.
