For those who are still wondering, the assshat is still alive and kicking... I sent him maybe over 10 text messages (20?) over the length of 3+ weeks and just heard back... In typical Grog-don't-give-a-shit style :)
 
After seeing Cap’n Smudge Cap’n Smudge 's clips, I just had to get them. They're now my preferred method of carry/retention. Almost lost my HDFK on a camping trip last year when a custom drop loop came off my belt. The loop wasn't "sealed" and can just slide on/off; in my case, it slid off. I won't mention the maker but will need to reach out to them about a more secure method of retention with their drop loop.
