Lost my fk2 sheath a couple months back.
Found it today.
Aside from a touch of rust, no worse for wear.

I apologize, Dave, 1.) for the late reply and 2.) for my apparent ignorance. I assume you are referring to the handles? I took that pic in low light so the handles look darker than they actually are. I don't thing they are anything special aside from being the buffed black micarta (canvas, I think?). The double black does sound really cool though...


Did some agate hunting with my daughter in our backyard today - found some pretty ones. Took a bunch of knives with me (just because).

No worries, thanks for getting back to me. Yes I was asking about the scales...sorry about being vague...they've got 'double black' out now and those looked really black! I was going to get your impressions but I'm coming to realize what I need to do is break down and buy some! :D You post some nice pictures. Cheers!

ETA: We used to do a bit of agate-hunting down the coast by devil's punchbowl years ago. Picked up a lot of nice ones that had been polished by the surf!
