I'm terrible about taking pictures while working. Slows me down and I really don't need to be any slower at things. I snagged a few a may throw up at some point. Learned a lot of tiny details I hadn't really paid attention to on Nathan's stuff. Also that his work is way better than mine.

Tons of details I'm not happy with but for my first go I'd call it "serviceable". Still a few things to fix(edges, screw counter sink, lanyard hole, ext). Going to give it a shake down for a few days to see if I want to move forward with another couple sets. So far the biggest issue is when I put it in the sheath it sometimes pulls the whole damn thing out of my pocket when I try to take it out... Gogo sticky ass terotuf.

I like it a lot.

Imperial stout to the rescue:

Its thought it was either coffee-o'clock, or beer-o'clock, but coffee-beer-o'clock is something I will have to consider...

plus the flying unicorn tiger is dope, and thats one helluva knife/sheath/stout combo.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

A couple pics from the weekend’s adventure into South Big Fork Nat’l Rec Area...CPK pics of course!

A little impromptu trail work. Little did I know this would be the first of many trees laying across the trail.

If you have a chance, get to this sign! The kind of view that makes backpacking worth the climb. And Notice the tri-color rag micarta poking up by the trowel.

Not to go stray here, but the MC is solidifying itself as my one “will never be without” knife. I know some swear by the HDFK, but for me that has been confirmed as a FOMO purchase and will most likely alway be passed over for the venerable MC.

I feel like the MC is the underdog and over performer in the CPK line - the HDMC seemed to get a lot more press here when there was options on the pre order.
MC carries well, slashes out brush and trails like a dream, and is still really slicey.

The MC really is one of the most under-appreciated pieces we've produced. Like a rifle chambered in .270, there are flashier alternatives but it really does have one of the best combinations of characteristics available.

I've been unable to appreciate one, maybe I should figure out a solution to that problem
