Those scales are SWEEET! Mine is sporting buffed OD Green over black liners to match my HDFK but I’d definitely put a set of those black over red on it if I could snag a set.
 
BREAKING NEWS:

Field Knife V.2 just made it in the mail! Took a little longer than normal. Went with pretty basic options other than adding the squared off spine.

Here compared to the OG FK:

Squared spine throws sparks like crazy; really happy to know that even in mitts and ice this thing will make fire:

New knife process: remove scales, wash with hot hit water and soap. Hot water heats up the metal so the Obeneaufs sets in perfectly under the scales to provide a corrosion resistant layer of oil and wax. Then loctite the fasteners back together and a light coat of wax on the scales.

Perfect pairing for the bush. Shelter fire and food all handled with these two:

Here is the third wheel but fits the gap and adds a little stabby. The UF might work if it had a guard but I like the S35VN and handles for its intended purpose:

That’s a great set, too bad the grooves in the Spartan handle are going the wrong way or it’d fit in even better. I’ve almost bought a Difensa a few times, they’re beautiful knives, just never ended up grabbing one. The third blade in my combo is an HDFK but it’s so capable on its own that it constantly makes me think that I don’t need one of the other two- I guess that’s a legit first world problem
