I swear if my first arm tattoo appointment wasn't near the same time as the shiv pre order I'd be in on it!!!

Nearly 40F today, spritzing rain. Just turned over to flakes so stomping the fatbike trail down again. By Friday it's supposed to *drop* 60-70F!

The kind that might enter our premises without invitation...if it was closer at hand than one of my firearms. (I'm unlikely to ever have it on my person out of doors.)

I intend to keep it in its virgin state unless it's ever called upon to do what it was designed to do best. (There's a place in the continuum for a blade for defense of self and others, but it is not at the top of the list for me personally...and behind impact weapons like a trusty sap.)

I'm just not the sort to go out and poke four legged critters with one. B beeinak had a good definition...human swine would be more its raison d'etre.

I agree, that’s my intended use also. I can see why it would be used for pig sticking, but I don’t understand why someone would want to use a Shiv for wood chopping or batoning. Unless it’s the only knife available, and you have to get it done.

It can be hard to tell with indoor lighting, but are those maroon linen scales on your FK and FK2?

I'm also curious if they might have a black micarta liner? (But I'm thinking that they don't have it.)
