  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Yeah, I own 60 arces with 4-wheeler trails and hunting stands to maintain and a wood stove at home. I'm behind this year getting wood cut.
Oh yeah, these knives will get some use, got keep wood at my camper for campfires too.

Where I live, owning 60 acres is akin to owning a City :D

I feel the same way about the EDC.. I just bought my 3rd and I'm sure I'm not done. I suddenly feel like most of my other daily carry knives are uninteresting. The EDC communicates with me on a primal level. They melt into my hand like they grew from the inside out.

MikeyKuKu! Some of your missives when it comes to your interaction with your knives qualify you for writing Knife Erotica as a side career! Supposed to be a compliment Sir :)

one of my best friends died recently, and we rode bikes and built trails together. He was young, just shy of 30 and his name was Lars. Died from a congenital heart defect two days after his wedding in Hawaii while having dinner. One of the strongest, toughest guys I know.

He'd spend entire days in the bush by himself in this place.

He started building this trail, and we intend to finish it for him. Tonight we went and sussed things out, flagged a line. Found a bear carcass. I kept the skull and will probably go back for the paws.

Sorry to hear about your buddy Lorien Lorien . Loss is never easy. It's great that you guys are going to build that trail. Even better that you're doing it with knives you design. What's your plan for the skull and paws?

Very sorry to hear about your friend, Lorien. Nice you get to continue working on his trail and see it to completion.

Lorien, sincere condolences and very sorry to hear about your loss. Thank you for the description and the pictorials. Passage of time heals almost all wounds but it never brings back our loved ones who left us far too soon.

Some are removed much too early from the cycle of life. Our regrets and thoughts, Lorien.

I've lost too many people for a guy in his 30's. I've lost people to so many reasons and circumstances, it would require a separate thread. The loss is ours to keep as we carry on. The nature of the relationship can change. Make time to reflect. Encounter the pain, but do not dwell in it.

Sincerest condolences Lorien. Absolutely horrific to hear. So sad when things like this happen and we realize how much in life is taken for granted. What a way to honor your friend, by finishing the trail. I hope you blaze many more trails in honor of his strong spirit!

Sorry to hear of your loss, my sincere condolences

Sorry to hear about your friend, Lorien; I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
That trail will be awesome when it's done and a fitting tribute!
