Photos! Post your CPK photos here!

Here are some quick unedited cell phone photos of my Blade Show scores from last Friday. I also picked-up some awesome knives from Fiddleback Forge and Osprey Knife & Tool that I will post in their respective sub-forums. I will post more CPK photos and comments when I get back home next week.

Thanks again Nathan & Jo for making some great knives! It was a pleasure to meet you both as well as Mark.

 Looks like you got a nice collection going there Phil! Welcome aboard the CPK Express! :)

Looks like you were able to hit the jackpot on CPKs, Comprehensivist, good for you. Never have seen the shiv in that tan color, I don't think, looks good!

If you decide an optimized D2 EDC and cash would convince you to part with that 4v EDC, let me know. Hopefully I'll have some scale options to throw in as well.

Also, I'll order you a nice meal and have it sent via uber.

Here are a few that show my attraction to a particular color, though my preference has in the past always been for micarta with respect to material - while these are G10. As I was handling them, I noticed I had, in these three, different steels in each - 3V, D3V and 4V:

I feel extremely fortunate and very privileged that I was represented at least in spirits at the 2017 Blade by a GREAT and utmost trustworthy forum Friend (to whom I still owe a great debt of gratitude) and that I got myself an early 54th BD present. Does opening the package a month or so in advance of the event negate the pressie notion? :D

If I was a subscriber to conspiracy theories, I would then conclude that Mr. Betzner indeed must own a time machine! This crafty and wily fox goes back and forth in time to acquire whatever that he wants! Bob we are now waiting for you to pull the ever elusive UF and the Skinner outta the proverbial magic hat ;)

Can someone tell me what is the difference between regular 3V and Delta 3V?

I went back and looked... My EDC that came from Nathan's last EDC F/S thread stated Delta 3V steel and my sample is stamped with a 3V surrounded by a triangle.

If your knife has 3V stamped with a triangle you have a D3V Blade-Regular 3V has no Triangle!

Mat, I had never seen that black and brown handle with large scallops until discussions with contacts a while back, and images of that very handle pattern were sent to me. It is now my favorite shiv scales. What I didn't know, however, was that I would eventually come across one of the cerakote shivs with the exact same black/brown/large scallop textured pattern, which I am now working on acquiring.

Once I have it, I'll post images of both the cocobolo UF and the cerakote shiv with scales like yours. Damn, I love those scales. They are my absolute favorite. You really nailed a spectacular gift!

Roger:

Nathan is the the best person to illuminate you on the difference(s) and if I have the time, I'll search for his past statements regarding this subject matter. In mathematics that triangle is also a symbol for Delta as is a cursive funky looking d. So what you have is in Delta 3V.

From Wikipedia:

Delta (uppercase Δ, lowercase δ or ; Δέλτα Délta; Modern Greek [ˈðelta]) is the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 4. It was derived from the Phoenician letter dalet , Letters that come from delta include Latin D and Cyrillic Д.
