Would it be possible for the new BF knife to have a long match strike pull? Similar to the 2019 BF knife? I might need to switch my vote over to White soon since Yellow ain’t going no where 😆

JohnDF JohnDF , I have a hunch that most plain bone voters would prefer brown over red. However, on the reverse side, I believe that most brown bone voters would be more likely to go for red than plain bone. It seems to me that plain bone might be the reason brown loses out in the end.

What is this?!?! No options for Orange or Violet?!?!

Not even a Rust Red option?!

I do suppose Blood Red could be okay..... No pink here....

If we do Blood Red, I think it should have BRASS BOLSTERS to match the brass pins and liners, especially since we're not concerned with verdigris on white bone anymore....

Never had brass bolsters on a forum knife before!

I know its too late and charlie has done a amazing and stressful job even in the organizing of these polls. Tough to appease the masses and all. But…. Kinda possibly woulda coulda been nice to have polls for what the red option were to be and also a poll for what the brown option would be. If black cherry won the red option, maybe less people would vote for the red option. Same can be said for brown. At the same time maybe less would vote in the red poll if they were adamant in their brown choice. After red wins, theyd be upset they skipped that red poll. There is no winning on organizing these polls for sure. And i over think everything… kindly disregard this…
You're right that there's no perfect way to do this; and Charlie is - once again - managing it like a pro. The polls you mentioned are coming, I believe. Don't get me wrong, it would be great to know when we pick a color that if green wins, we're getting pickle green, and if red wins we're getting bright as- er...I mean bright red with pink edges, etc...but, logistically, that would be a mess. This way, we get a color, then pick which version of that color. "On paper" it makes sense. (As much sense as it can, when it's saw cut instead of smooth, anyway ;))

I'm surprised by all the dislike of white bone... I've had this since it was released in 2016 and even carried and used it a fair amount.... still looks white to me....

For everyone who doesn't know how to dye a bone handle.... Use Fiebings Leather Dye.... soak knife until desired saturation is achieved and then rinse with rubbing alcohol until it runs clear. Doesn't cause any oxidation and doesn't require heat.... just wear gloves first.

Here's the Blood Red

Want Black Cherry? Do a soak in red dye and then a second soak in black.....

VOTE WHITE BONE!

Imagine how much fun it would be to have a thread dedicated to everyone showing off what colors they've dyed their forum knives.:thumbsup:

These are from the early run on 2015 . The Sheepfoot has not been used and seldom carried . The Clip was carried and used quite a lot . Then I started buying more GECs and they do not get carried much . GEC seems to have their Processes pretty well under control except for their Dye Process and The Process Determines the Quality .

Do not remember what year these were made and have basically never used or carried them . Just did not like the colors or the blade .

Really looking forward to what WE DECIDE and getting the knife . If WE do as well as we did with the 2019 Forum Knife , I will be a happy camper .

Guys, there are going to be 5 to 6 choices for brown if it wins. Meaning if you vote for brown and it wins, there is a slim chance of getting the brown you want. Its a loss cause. Just throw your vote at white and make this a great knife!

Would have liked to see more votes at the banana and green. In the end itll be stunning no matter our color.

I wouldn’t call plain undyed bone safe or classy, unless you like yellowed.... ”Yeah Baby!”

All kidding aside, Mass1632 Mass1632 , @Kiteman72 , the yellowing is not caused by a lack of care or improper maintenance, (as is the case concerning Mr. Powers' teeth). Plain undyed bone just yellows with age. In fact, handling and oiling will speed up the process. It will become noticeable within months and cannot be prevented. Brass liners and pins only make it worse. Either you like this look or you don't, but the knife will not look new and clean for very long.
🤣😝 Yes but you know that those teeth are only in a state of evolution (and visiting British dentists....☠️) very soon the next stage is BROWN 😱) and after that, complete disintegration and FALSE ones!

Now White/Ivory may not be brilliant blue-white as in most US Presidential teeth...:D because it's not faux...and just replace the YELLOWS in your post with MELLOWS with age
