No, you consider it not a loss. It's shades of gray, not black/white. If your color isn't going to win at all, then you pick the next one you'd be ok with. If you aren't OK with any of them besides your choice, then you leave your vote and don't buy the knife.
Regardless of the color (any)one wants, I doubt any would be a loss. To be honest, I'm not AGAINST any of the options...though, as I stated earlier, I'm not sure I'm brave enough to jump for rotten banana sight unseen.

I probably I came off more curmudgeonly than intended; but, with all the banter about which color is better, and that people should shift votes to sway the results, I've played along by digging in my heels. My apologies to waynorth waynorth for what I'm about to say; but, after watching the back and forth for the past 2 days, I would find a dead even tie rather amusing 🙃. I'll even volunteer right now to handle the tie breaking coin toss...but would it be a one and done? 2 out of 3? 3/5? Best of 7? (Given my tendency to lose interest as things drag on, I'd prefer one of the first two options; but I'm onboard with whatever you guys decide)

Don't you want a rare color used on our special sawcut knife, I do and Black Cherry is the way to go, very seldom used, yes it's dark, no it's not Black, I have nothing against brown, yes there will be about 5 or 6 choices but Black Cherry will be special

I like black cherry, but I don't like any of the other reds. I bet if we could just vote for black cherry it would win. That's why we should have a run off for the shades of red and brown.

The Cranberry Red on Charlies SFO Texas Camp Knife turned out nice and dark.

That's probably the best looking red bone in this thread. It's still not enough for me to change my vote, but if red wins I would 100% be on team cranberry.

vote red, when it's time to vote for the red choices vote black cherry, win, win, there are to many members afraid of pink, not sure why though, some of the red saw cuts pics are great

I respect your vote for brown, if red looses I'll still be happy with brown if red wins, vote black cherry
That does look like a red that even brown fans would like.

I think it may be time for green to lead it’s supporters to the least bad alternative to green. Brown is very close to green, and while we may not get emerald green, we might get olive drab or ripe chestnut or even carmel frappuccino.

I am switching camps, and the color green urges all of you to do the same.

This message brought to you by the colors green and brown.

You bet I will vote black cherry if red wins. The color is classy.

I think you’d be right about that. I think the big embellished bolsters and patina-prone blades well age best with either dark, earthy colors that look aged from the start, or white which will show their age.

Geez I'd laugh if brown won and when the knives arrived there were tinges of red at the edges.

You know folks would love that, especially if it was consistent.
