Voted green, definitely my favorite, (how could anyone disagree with Augie!) but red is only really decent looking if quite dark or a little brownish, like brick red (think old Case redbone). Brown is the safest of all colors: from golden to dark chocolate brown it looks great, and right at home on a Barlow.

No disrespect intended to waverave - I have no experience with GEC's saw cut bone; so I have to ask... What are the odds that the knives will actually look like the images? (Specifically with regard to color/shading).
For example, I wouldn't expect the colors to be so uniform; and would white/ivory be so grey over the central portion?
Its not meant to be perfect but the intention is to give you an idea what it will look like.
I think you could expect some color variations around the edges but most of the sawcut bone I've seen from GEC is very consistent and well colored. I've actually never seen white or yellow sawcut so I'm really not sure how that would even turn out. My assumption is there would be a darker hue where the cut lines are.

Wish folks would quit posting the red camel bone NF 77 as an example of GEC’s typical red bone. Camel bone doesn’t take dye as readily as cow bone and I was under impression cow would be used on the BF knife. As others have shown, GEC does a great job with sawcut red. My wish would be they would just make it dark red like my rendezvous BSK.D961AC6A-3862-4FB1-9247-BDB4D79E707C.jpeg

Yes the fluorescent pink 77’s posted are Camel bone. This is not the only bone that ends up pink, just the worst one. In fact, the “Sodascout” posted above is a good example of pink around the edges. The Tc’s are all older ones when they seemed to be better at it. I don’t care for the color of the Cranberry sheepfoot but at least it’s consistent throughout.
The last 2 85s I received were horribly pink around the edges. A jigged bone and the recent caplifter. Jigged bone I traded and the caplifter is hidden away so I don’t have to look at it.

Someone suggested Charlie would make sure we get a nice dark red but I don't think it's reasonable to expect him to have any control over that whatsoever.

This one is NOT Camel bone and is more representative of what I expect Red to be judging from the last 3-4 years of Reds. (unless you are Dylan) ;)
It's hard to capture in a photo how pink they actually are. They are more pink in person.

I still think rotten banana would give us something unique for a forum knife that we are very unlikely to see with the upcoming releases, as opposed to red and brown which are very, very likely. And it looks fantastic.

Having said that, I can see the writing on the way-behind wall with that one!

My original preference was smooth ivory bone, and I’m definitely in the anything-but- red camp here, so I’ll most likely redirect my vote later to something with a chance to head off the reds. Both of the 85s that I had were far more in the pink end of the spectrum than red, and I think we’re headed for a train wreck on the delivery if red wins out (granted, Dylan posted a very nice array of blood red earlier in the thread).

Still pulling for a miraculous banana comeback in the meantime!
