!Pics added! Taking the 7 towards "tactical"

Well, kids, this one is (mostly) done, at least as far as I'm gonna get tonight. Still a little rough in the scales, grinder dings here and there.....haven't really tried to polish the edge, but it's cutting really well anyway, so.......gonna make a sheath for it and do the final fluff-n-buff.

Cutting pretty good.....

Feels good, the finger choil falls easily into hand and cuts pretty well even though I've done little but strop (you can definitely see the difference between the blade and edge finishes).

Gonna make a sheath and do the final fluff-n-buff.

i think everytime GS picks up that knive, he strops it.

soon, it's going to be as thick as a triple lux card, whatever that is

Well, I think I'm gonna try and finish this one first. I have a tendency to (read: always) start something else without finishing the last thing....leading to years old unfinished projects littering my shop(s) and my life. That being said, Daizee was goading me to do something similar to my 5....and I'm gonna try and make a knife from scratch. One bonus of all these unfinished projects is that I have a shit-ton of them that are still on paper, so I always have something kinda ready to go. This 7 project was on paper for more than a year (while the knife sat de-scaled and blade taped in its sheath)before I finally worked up the ganas to start grinding.
Hopefully soon, the next photos on here will be of a fluffed-n-buffed knife with a useful sheath!

I have a question though. Is a shit-ton more than a crap load? 'Cause I've always got a crap load of stuff that doesn't seem to get done. I'm wondering what the relative order of these units of measure is?

Pile-o-crap, pile-o-shit, crap-load, shit-load, ton-o-crap, shit-ton. I think I've got them in relative order but maybe not. There are probably other similar units of measure that just don't come to mind right now.

At the risk of angering the mods (for repeating and calling attention to profanity), I think they are all different descriptions for a quantity so close to being infinite (since they can never ALL be done) that for all practical purposes.....they all mean infinity. So there is no hierarchy, since a shitload of stuff to do will never get done any more than will a ton of crap. I blame this on the ephemeral life span of humans, plus all that wasted time sleeping. I really wish my consciousness didn't feel the need to close the door and shut off the lights at the end of every day, but I guess until we learn what the whales know about sleeping with half their brain at a time, that's the way of it.
