Watch closely at about 3:54 in to the video. They're using a small rotary disc cutting tool with light tapping motion in a random pattern. It's not difficult, but it was time consuming to do all the whole card.
I got bored so I took a spare clip and did the cracked ice finish then I heat anodized it :D I'm probably throw it up on the bay to help fund other projects :D

how do you inlet the holes in the scales for the screws?
I counter-bore or counter-sink using step bits when possible.
If no step bit is available......I drill a pilot hole ......drill my counter-bore then drill my through hole.

I reshaped the end of the handle on my benchmade 531. The symmetric shape that it comes in looks great but didn't feel great in my hand. I knew it could be improved so I busted out the old dremmel tool, drew my intended line on with a sharpie and got to grinding. I'm really happy with the result and it's so much more comfortable in hand now. And I actually love the aesthetic turn out.

I received my Fallkniven S1 blade blank back from Phillip Dobson yesterday. I had him make a handle for it. It is going to be a working knife so I wanted a wood handle material that would be durable. I also did not want an expensive material since this knife would be used and not a collector piece. The handle is made of Honduras Rosewood.

I like how the handle is designed and how the knife feels in my hand. I just wanted to have a pic of the knife before it goes out and starts building "character" scars.
