funny thing is now that I look I will switch the knives. orange cf on the szabo kikrinite on the 741
 
Does anodizing the lock side of a framelock affect the strength of the lock bar or the hardness of the lock face?

I was a bit disappointed with the shape of the handle of this KABAR: it was not exactly how it looked at the photo on the site. I thought about replacing the handle altogether. But then I decided to try to improve it for the start: take it close to the knife I thought I was buying. It took me couple of hours. Anyway, here is the result:

Did you mill the saw teeth into the spine yourself, or have it done? Either way, it looks great. I'd love to try that on a BK9. I've drawn up plans to have teeth milled in, with a slot down the spine (long axis of the blade) the way Jimmy Lile made them on the Rambo knives; created a double row of teeth.
