atony, that looks good. The pocket clip is the only thing I even slightly dislike about the Southard. I am going to give this a try.

Not as boss level as stuff on here, but I like it...

I did the same with a green-scaled Tenacious. The first knife I bought that got me back into knives was a Smith & Wesson that had green scales & black blade & hardware. I used than one 'til it died, and I've always wanted a knife along those lines that was a nice reminder of the first one. I just didn't want to spend any money on an S&W.

I actually like the look of the blue scales & black blade & hardware better. I'll have to do that one next.

How are you guys milling the back part out of those benchmades with the axis lock? Or are you not?

Well, I can't speak for any of the "other guys", but for me...in a word...Dremel.
And yes I'm definitely doing it.
In fact, on the mini-Ritter/Griptilian you must "nest" or mill out a space for the entire liner first.
Then you can work on the milling needed for the axis lock.

I use 1/8" and 1/16" carbide burrs (make sure you get "end mill" cut burrs. they are flat on the bottom), and a drill press. Then use a decent depth gauge and micrometer to set the depth needed for a nested liner.
