Pics of Pairs--Large and Small Versions of the Same Model

Wow!! Looks like it's as big as the 710!!
Never would've thought that!
Is the exclusive one that was only sold in Russia the same size blade?? Fell in love with that one, but was slow with the trigger finger. See them pop up for sale now and then for $400 and above.
Gorgeous knife!

pm sent, but I will give you fair warning...view it at your own risk...it may be very tempting haha.

I am NOT looking and will be blocking you from here on out.......shameless enabler!!!!

I even waited for you to reply here before I sent it so you would be warned. It's all up to you if you choose to read it. :D

Lotsa nice pairs, Crufflers. That first pair of Kershaws is quite handsome. Thanks for sharing.

These look too cool Cruff!! If you get a chance, can you please give us a pic with the blades open??
Thanks!
Joe

Sure I have some old ones I think...

That's all i could dig up, sorry

A caveat here, as this is a little bit of a stretch, but I'm pretty much out of pairs. As I understand, Shirogorov models are based on size--95's and F3's are 95mm, 111's are 111mm, etc--so there's no big and small in any one model. Also, nothing Shirogorov is exactly small anyway. I did say similar, though, when we started and these are both liner-locks, flippers, flat ground, and on bearings. The 111 is CF and M390 with that cool fuller/opening notch and runs on a MRBS. The F3 is in Python Micarta with S30V and SRBS.

Just about a year ago I was seriously debating whether it was silly to buy a CRK in the $300-500 range. Today I have 6 of those, a number of others with about that much in 'em, and these two beauties below. Who would have thought you could catch a communicable disease from the internet.

One more Shiro pic 'cause the backspacer on the Python just knocks me out.

All the other Pythons I've seen have OD green backspacers--the Ti on this one is just gorgeous. I've traced the knife through 2 owners and pictures back to the dealer. My box actually says CF, so maybe the dealer swapped the scales out. Whoever paired the Python Micarta with that Ti backspacer has my thanks.

It's nice to see that Sasquatch approves. I've only made one purchase from you guys over at USA Made Blade and ya'll definitely treated me right. You and DB over at KSF are in line for my next 2 purchases. I'm trying to hold out as long as I can, but I'll probably end up with 10 knives in the cart when I finally do give in. :D

We've already seen Joe's beautiful CTEK Barrage, but I'm running out of pairs, so I've gotta go with these for today. These knives are one of the most comfortable in hand that I've ever felt. I just need to get rid of the assist mechanism so I'll start carrying one more often.

Alright I can't stay away, here's another quick pair pick, keep in mind they both have blades so they count. ;)

OK, I think I'm officially out of pairs. I sure couldn't keep up with Sasquatch if he pressed the issue (Joe's right--who could?), my guess is Ted has as many rabbits to pull out of his hat as he might choose, and Corey seems to have one of every Benchmade that was ever produced (dude has just an awesome collection).

We started out with 710/705 and I'm coming back around to that combo. My 710 "rescue knife" has been in two posts here and the 705s have each been featured in one. This is the first time up for the 710-1401, so here it is with the whole fam damily. Last time I mentioned that knife in a post , the model was under attack by blue/black haters and I defended it after a fashion. I like the M390 steel, the bright hardware, the open back construction, and the way the sculpted G10 feels in hand--almost soft. Honestly, the blue/black thing is kinda meh--don't love it, don't hate it.

I'm casting about for a matching 710 and 707 to outfit with some custom scales. I could just use the -1401 for that side of the equation, but I doubt I'd be able to find or spend the money for one of those 50 707's in M390. We'll see what comes along.

Keep the pics coming, guys, this thread is a lot of fun and I'm sure there are plenty more interesting pairs out there.
