nice slider, a local knife store in my town has a Bcnw up for sale, and i really like the ergos, hows the edge hold up?

To be honest, it doesn't hold up amazingly well, I dropped it from a couple of inches up, and it hit a rock, and the edge rolled, but the 01 that Mike Uses is so easy to sharpen, plus anyone can sharpen a Scandi ground blade easily in the field, so the softer edge is in my opinion an advantage.

But it holds an edge for a day of fun Bushcraft with no issue

Another is the Ahti Metsa

I have that same Ahti in my collection. A bit more expensive than the typical Mora, but better made and a more robust blade as a trade-off.

TwinStick, where'd you get the textured handles for the Beckers? I've got two of the old Camillus models (BK2 and BK7); my next knife purchase will likely be a Ka-Bar BK9.

This SAK Huntsman goes pretty much every where with me. Works great are rarely terrifies even the most simple-minded sheepman.

the overall shape is a bit generic. squarish and the grips feel cheap compared to well made micarta which i prefer. the contour of the length of the handle fits well. however the control in is unbeatable. You can manuever and manipulate it as if the blade was 2 inches shorter and you cant beat that convex, its stupid sharp out of the box and easy (for those experienced) to maintain that way. Its one of my favorites of all time.

alright, how does convex compare to scandi? i personally like the scandi grind much better, mainly because how easy it is to sharpen.

i like em both. there are differneces and advatages and disadvatages of both but i dont notice them. cant go wrong either way, just so happens my favortie production woods knife so far is a convex

Here are the knives I take to the woods (Yes I do take them all, I like to be prepared.):D
Sorry for the bad pics, I still have to use the camera on my MP3 player (I spent my camera fund on the Benchmade and the CRKT Apache.)
