First, some well-used-by-me belt knives that I used in the Deep South for several decades. Top to bottom they are: [1] Gerber LMF with the first-profile blade. There is a second blade profile, and both profiles came both with and without sawteeth. (These outstanding knives are the reason the current Gerbers are called "LMF II.") [2] USN-marked Camillus Mark II "Ka-Bar" in a custom sheath by Fagan Leather, and [3] WWII-vintage Imperial M4 bayonet.
Here's my favorite chopper. It is a Sargent copy of the Blackjack Marauder. The ergonomics are outstanding, and it regularly punched well above its weight. It quickly replaced an 18-inch machete AND the Gerber LMF pictured above. Paired with the chopper was either a Swiss Army Tinker or a first-generation Gerber Multi-Plier. The sheath that came with it quickly fell apart, so I had the one in the pic made by a shoe repairman. The pivot point exactly coincides with my hip joint.
When we moved to SoCal in the late 80's there was no need for big blades, so I "retired" the chopper. I replaced it with a well-used Western Cutlery W-36 that I carried on day hikes and birding walks.
It rode on the outside of my daypack, right behind the water bottle:
