PICS - Show us your WELL USED knives

Not a single shirogorov in the whole thread. Starting to think they only for looks.
Did you not get enough flack for these sort of comments in the shiro thread? 😁 ;)

How about a pic of your well used knives?

Speaking of that...
went through this thread but couldn't find any heavy used Rockstead.
Could also be I missed it.
I just like giving the Shiro guys a hard time sometimes. It's all in fun lol. I actually love their knives.

Here are two more:

Gerber BMF with a modified Buckmaster sheath:

EOD knife made from Ontario M9 bayonet, with the same modified Buckmaster sheath:

The upper pocket on the sheath contains a multi-tool, mini-flashlight, cigarette lighter and a small ferro bar. The lower pocket contains a Silva Type 27 sighting compass. The entire rig is on an extender that places it just below the hip belt of my frame pack.

The E.G. Waterman (aka EGW) knives were private-purchase knives during the war years, usually less than $5.00 in 1940's cash. There were at least two blade versions and two handle versions. The blade steel was soft enough that it could easily be kept sharp, and would bend rather than break. A LOT of them were sold, btw; some bought by soldiers and others bought by soldiers' families.

If you can find a copy of U.S. Military Knives, Bayonets & Machetes Book III by M. H. Cole, he devoted a page to this knife -- page 193. It may be worth your while.

BTW, I think the sheath in your picture is not original to the knife. It appears much more like a sheath for the USN/USMC Mark II "Ka-Bar." Of course I could be wrong; I've done that a time or two.
