I can't really tell from the picture (not just yours, but any picture of this knife), but does CF scale look that much different from G10? You can clearly see the pattern on polished CF, but I've never seen a machined carbon fiber scale to create an opinion.

Yeah, you can clearly see the pattern, it glitters really nicely when light shines on it. I took the last picture with flash, so it would be easier to see . G-10 is just plain black, it looks different. Actually I think the machined texture on this knife really creates a cool effect with the carbon fiber pattern. It becomes uneven somehow, reminds you a little of granite.

Well, since there is a steel liner under the carbon fiber scale, that side is a bit thicker than the titanium side. It's so little that it doesn't bother you at all though.

my collection of Kershaws at the moment... yeah it's only four... although I've actually had six. I had a Wal-mart Vapor that i returned to get some money for my ZDP-189 Delica, and I had a Needs Work that I just never warmed up to, so I traded it to a friend for my Schrade SG7 lockback with sheath, which I really like.
