A newly acquired 'small object photo booth' setup wanted playing with the other day, and these two energetic 'small objects' were close at hand:

Ener-G and Ener-G II

I've got a bit of work to do, image quality wise, to keep pace with the rest of you, but it's a start anyway! :)

I have a few more 'suitable subjects' too... ;) :p

Cheers,

Nice pics, all! I bought one of those "object photo booths" and they do ok. I'd like to get my creative side going with some interesting backgrounds and "props". A simple photo setup I learned from another forum member that worked much better, for me anyways, is a piece of white coated poster board and a clamp on fluorescent worklight. I also use those little lights from the object photo booth sets for extra lighting. Could of saved myself about $50. Keep the pics coming, good inspiration.

Yeah OL, BOTH are well used! That's my very first MC Ti/ZDP, and when I carry something other than my ENER-G, that or the Groove usually gets the call.

As for the M1, it has a bit of history behind it. A friend of mine's dad carried it in the Pacific Theatre. He was a Marine from the 4th Marine Division, and it actually saw a some historical combat time. He's one of the fortunate that made it back from Iwo Jima. He told me before he passed away that he had it with him there in 1945. How he got it back in the states is a mystery. It was made by the Underwood Typewriter Co. in 1944. All serial numbers match, has the original bayonet and scabbard, sling and oiler (with a still functioning o-ring to boot!) and to this day it will group 3" at 30 yards. Not much of a hunting rifle, but with a 30 round clip (from the M2), it makes an excellent HD piece. And if I miss with all 30, then I've either scared them to death or I'm probably close enough by then to stab em! :D And I'm not really sure if that would work, because the original M4 bayonet hasn't been sharpened, in oh, about 60 years or so.

Nice pics there Bookworm. Maybe a little big since
I know you're going to Lehigh and I have your LIN and PIN #'s.

crap, didn't see that one.

though im not quite sure what you could do with them, since I haven't even been accepted and all. I should rethink my backgrounds a little.

I'm gonna send the photos through photobucket and send em back up right-sized.

edit: actually you just have my LIN, my pin is changed.

here we go:

sorry for the ad close-ups, my camera's focal length is like 58mm+ or something so it doesn't do super-close shots well.

Could anyone post makro picture of stud lock on Speed or spec bump? Im very interested about how does it look.
thank you
