Pictures of what you consider to be the ideal modern Gentleman's Folder

I'm a pretty big VG-10 fan. I like bone, wood and micarta. I think a gentleman's knife should have natural handle materials imo. These are all under $150 I beileve. Not sure about the kopa.

Moki's are pretty nice.

So are Al Mars.

And Mcustas.

But If I had my choice, it'd be one of these:

The Moki is nice, the Mcustas I like also but for different reasons, looks very utilitarian to me vs elegant.

Thanks for the options

Black or silver Alox Cadet from Victorinox.

Thanks but don't know why SA knives are just so not interesting to me like they were when I was younger, once saw one with a damascus blade that seemed nice but other than that not much of interest to me.

Thanks all, those AG Russell knives look just like the Al Mar ones, and in reading the description they were originally made by William Henry?....

I like that style or the more modern Benchmade it seems.

CR knives seem nice but I really don't want to go over $200 on it as I just dont think I could enjoy using something as it is intended to be used in spending over that for a knife.

Thanks

A few years ago William Henry offered the Spire in a number of different handle materials. They were made for WH by Moki. I've got one in redbone and it's a really nice little knife. The VG10 takes a great edge. I'd imagine the one AG offers is of the same quality.

Hey all,

Thanks again, also what would you consider to be the longest running most classic currently produced gentleman's folder...

I know the Al Mars have been supposedly around since the 70s, CR and WH seem rather new to the game in comparison...

Are there other established long standing brands out there.

Thanks

I think maybe Buck and AG Russell would fit the bill.

Just to throw up a few more suggestions the Spyderco Kiwi and Kopa are excellent gents' folders. The Kiwi's ergos are very good and secure.

One of my more beefy gentleman's folder. A ProTech Integrity pimped by Matt Cuchiarra.

Those AG Russell folders and the Al Mar seem just the thing, along with some of the customs and that bone-handled Spyderco. These are really nice little knives too, made in Italy:

Wife bought me one, with the condition that I actually use and carry it. Yeah, right. It's way too nice for that! :)
